... what on earth is going on???

AF is normally very regular, and I have never been 2 weeks late before. I did 2 pregnancy tests last week, both of which were negative. Now since yesterday morning, I have had very occasional, very light spotting. Nothing major at all. Anyone know what is happening?

go to the doctor, you might be pg...and perhaps test didn't show it, you can have ffalse negatives. HOpe you find out. but i'd advice to go to your gp.

DettaJnr · 04/03/2007 21:28

Calebsmummy, I would second Aloveheart. My friend did several tests which were negative and when she went to the GP she was 16 wks pregnant!!! Good luck.

MerlinsBeard · 04/03/2007 21:30

same as me last cycle (hello hun )

spotting turned to AF

MerlinsBeard · 04/03/2007 21:34

could you be PG?

calebsmummy · 05/03/2007 10:46

Hi MoM

Well I was going to post yesterday that AF had turned up properly, and it did for all of an hour or so. Now has totally tailed off apart from the tiniest bit.

For the hour yeserday it was quite thick (sorry if tmi) but there wasn't a lot of it.

i am jut finding it very odd. I have had 4 pregnancies and none have been like this, so not really thinking I am pregnant. AF is never late. i'm putting off going to the doctors at the moment as i don't feel pregnant so will see what transpires. Perhaps I am just getting old Tis all very wierd!

what colour was the blood? was it bright or dark?

calebsmummy · 05/03/2007 10:48

MoM there is a slight chance, but not a huge one!

OP posts:
calebsmummy · 05/03/2007 10:49

This is the thing, it was very bright for that short time yesterday, and now browny like it does at the end of AF.

OP posts:
lissielou · 05/03/2007 10:52

any pain?

calebsmummy · 05/03/2007 11:01

No pain, not even the normal PMT pain. Usually have tender boobs and some cramps, but nothing. But saying that, when I am pregnant I get those symptoms too.

Are you thinking miscarriage Lissielou? Cos thats sort iof what I have been thinking, but having never been through one (have had a stillbirth but at 30 weeks) i have no idea how or what happens.

OP posts:
lissielou · 05/03/2007 11:03

actually, and i dont want to scare you, i was thinking more along the lines of ep. i had one last m and i had some bleeding that was darker than normal but v thick and sticky, not a lot, but it was stop start and you wouldnt nes get a bfp.

calebsmummy · 05/03/2007 11:06

Hmm, yes had crossed my mind too. I am keeping an eye on any changes and if I do develop any pain, then I will be straight down to the doctors I think.

I'm hoping I am just being a little paranoid about all this and AF will arrive with a vengeance, but as it is so unusual for me, I am going to be a little concerned.

OP posts:
lissielou · 05/03/2007 11:08

do you have any other symptoms, headache?

calebsmummy · 05/03/2007 11:11

No headaches now, but last weekend had an awful one which went on all weekend. No prticular reason for it either!

Quite tired, but do have 2 small boys who think getting up timeis 5.30 atm.

OP posts:
lissielou · 05/03/2007 11:12

if i were you id pop to the docs just to see what they say. if you are pg, youd be what 6w?

calebsmummy · 05/03/2007 11:15

I hadn't even begun to work it out! Um, AF should have been 2 weeks ago, so that would make it 6 weeks wouldn't it? I might see how it pans out today and go along tomorrow if it's still odd. Getting an appointment with the doctor is like trying to meet the queen around here

Not feeling ill, so will hang on I think.

OP posts:
lissielou · 05/03/2007 11:16

ok but any pain at all ring nhs direct pronto!

calebsmummy · 05/03/2007 11:17

I will, definately! Thanks for your help lissielou

OP posts:
lissielou · 05/03/2007 11:20

calebsmummy · 05/03/2007 11:36

could just be a wonky cycle CM aside form eth spotting. If u have implantation would u get bfp before it i wonder?

If it was me i would think implantation and retest in a week or so, booking in with gp in meantime.

keep us posted ?

calebsmummy · 05/03/2007 15:37

I am just an oddity MoM, you know that Just had C on the phone nagging me to go to the doctors I do think though, with no pain, I will leave it for a day or so to see what transpires. As you say, it could just be a wonky cycle (although never had one before, but hey now is a good time to start)

Never had implantation bleed. No idea what or when that would happen.

my period was a week late this month, unusual. A friend put it down to the lunar eclipse. But I'm willing to consider it tbh!

calebsmummy · 05/03/2007 20:59

Mmmmm, I wonder Could be the lunar eclipse I guess!
