Pain in lower abdominal area with nausea

I've had on and off pain in the front lower abdomen area for about six months now. Went for an internal scan twice All fine apparently. It's back again but this time I have real bad nausea and back pain. Tired all day long too. It's the worst after I've eaten. Anyone had similar issues and resolved ? Oh and seem really blocked up but can pass stools easily. Tmi sorry.

Also a missed period.

Not pregnant.

Could it be IBD? Such as Crohns, you can feel sick and have pain which radiates near your belly button. It also makes you very tired.

I get this when I have ovulation pain, could it be that?

What age are you? I started getting all sorts of issues as I was approaching menopause (which I started around age 46). I had gastritis which caused nausea, fullness after small amounts, left hand abdo pain etc.
When you say you seem to be really blocked up but can go to the loo, what do you mean by that?

I'm 39 in December. Nothing is coming out. But when it does I'm not straining. It's normal. But I feel so full bloated really bad nausea. Just started period and I thought I would feel better. But I don't. I'm in such a foul mood feel like crying. So tired all the time. Doctor is saying I'm conctipated and nothing else. But I'm not sure that's all.

I had similar symptoms that started a year ago. Nausea, abdo pain, gurgling tummy, felt like needed the loo all the time. I couldn't eat because I felt sick all the things me. It felt like bad morning sickness all the time ( wasn't pregnant! )Had heaps of blood tests, including one for ovarian cancer. Had colonoscopy and endoscopy which found diverticulosis and gastritis in the stomach. But gp said that wouldn't have caused my symptoms. Had to take these all tablets that suppress the acid in my tummy. I also feel depressed and would shout at the kids all the times me. I developed health anxiety because of it all and had to see a therapist. I then started to realise my period cycle was closer together and the period itself much lighter only lasting 3 days. I still get similar symptoms but not as bad. I wonder if it is perimenopause. I am 43?
Did your gp give any meds for it?

Lovechoclate. Wow! You just described me. Apart from the period. But saying that I have had them lighter than usual. I haven't been prescribed with anything from the doctor. Just thyroid check next week. I really did think peri menopause too. It's so difficult to explain to people what it's like feeling like this. Everyone thinks It's all n my head. Glad to hear it's just not me. I've been seeing the same GP for 15 years now and she knows me really well. So I'm just surprised she's not taking my symptoms a little more seriously.

How strange, I had ALL this happen to me at...43, I am now 46 and have been through the menopause. I wonder if it was connected?
I take omazerople for the gastritis they found and now my symptoms have gradually disappeared.

Poor you, I do think there might be something in the perimenopause, certainly it all happened exactly as you describe for me. I couldn't eat and ended up in hospital with the gastirits in the end.

It's just after going to the gp so many times and they couldn't find anything. I had the same, everyone saying it was in my head and I was going crazy. . At one point they thought it was my gallbladder and I was on the verge of having it taken out but then had another abdo scan where she checked everything thoroughly and said it wasn't that. It was driving me crazy feeling nauseous all the time and loosing weight and not knowing what it was. That's really when the health anxiety started. I started to research and thought it might be all connected to my cycle and hormones. I mentioned it once to a doctor (not my usual gp) and she laughed at me and said I was too young!

Oh yes, this rings so many bells 'too young' is one of them.

The losing weight without trying, unable to eat. I was exactly the same.
I got ridiculously skinny and really tired and depressed.

danTDM did you have an endoscopy ? Is that how they found out about the gastritis? I hated taking those ppi tablets couldn't tolerate any of them. I ended taking esomeprazole. TBH I think they made me feel worse. I had awful
anxiety while taking them.

Still the same. I'm just waiting for my thyroid test on Thursday. Still painful still nausea. Really gassy (tmi). Just so tired all the time. I can't take it anymore.

Is it a blood test? Think I had that among the many others I had. I found that Gaviscon double action helped me with the nausea. Also, as I worried more the nausea got worse. I even stopped eating and that was the worse thing I could do. When I forced myself to eat I actually felt a little better. Could it be your gallbladder ?

Yes it's a blood test.
Obviously I'm thinking the worse ( bowel cancer) but when the doc checked me over she said its just a lot of poo stuck in my bowel that needs to come out. I've taken lots of stuff and I feel my bowel is empty but the pain and nausea are still there. Not sure why she's not referring me.

Try not to worry. I know this is easier said than done. I think the worry made me much worse. Your symptoms sound exactly like mine. I ended up having a colonoscopy, endoscopy, abdo scan, numerous blood tests, stool sample and so many doctors examine my tummy I have lost count ! They didn't find anything significant . I think it was all linked to my cycle. I still get symptoms mid cycle which I think are ovulation pains. Please don't worry

Have you tried putting a hot water bottle on your tummy for the pain. I found that it helped. What meds are you taking for it?

UTI? I would check for this. They can drag on for months with these kind of vague symptoms.

Paracetamol sometimes and movicol for the opening my bowels.
I usually do go overboard and start to panic. At first the GP thought it was to do with my ovaries. But after the internal scan they couldn't find anything but even then the lady who was scanning said how full my bowels were.

This is so similar to what I'm experiencing at the moment, but without the constipation.
I've even been to A&E, after going to the ooh GP as I'd had a stomach pain for 3 days. It was almost as if I'd pulled a muscle in my stomach or my bladder was infected.
I have gallstones, but blood tests ruled that out as a cause for the pain & the specialist agreed. Ive had bladder & kidney scans & an appointment with the Gynae has ruled out polyps. I have very very small fibroids & PCOS, but he said he thinks it's hormonal.
I'm very anxious, every twinge has me verging on a panic attack. I'm 38 this month, so pretty young for menopause??
I have period pain like cramps most of the time, although it gets worse when I'm due on. Heavy heavy periods etc.
I feel sick most days too. I've lost a little bit of weight but nothing to worry about.

Could be uti. GP didn't even do a urine test.

I've been having mild Uti type symptoms for months - the GP did two urine tests which both came back negative. They referred me to a urologist who did a cystoscopy - still nothing found. The urologist still thinks it's an infection and has put me on a long course of antibiotics

Just out of interest how old are you all ? I was 42 when I had all these symptoms started. I think it is perimenopause.
