Pain in lower abdominal area with nausea

Cathaka15 · 29/09/2016 00:01

I've had on and off pain in the front lower abdomen area for about six months now. Went for an internal scan twice All fine apparently. It's back again but this time I have real bad nausea and back pain. Tired all day long too. It's the worst after I've eaten. Anyone had similar issues and resolved ? Oh and seem really blocked up but can pass stools easily. Tmi sorry.

I'm 40

danTDM · 05/10/2016 09:01

lovechocolate yes, I did have an endoscopy. CTscan to rule out gallstones.

I found the Omezerapole ok. I thought all was well, eventually, came off them and three months later it all started again, so it looks like a long term thing.

I really agree with all you say. I was 43.

Cathaka15- how are you ? Did you have your blood test?

Cathaka15 · 09/10/2016 21:11

The pains have got much better but still come and go not a surprise as this has been the case for around a year. I've had my blood test but still waiting for the results. I've been checking more on my Symptoms and it's looking more like thyroid disease. Or maybe I'm hoping it is. Bloods should be back tomorrow. Let's see.

That's good to hear you are feeling better. Let us know how the results go x

Cathaka15 · 10/10/2016 12:05

Blood test - all normalConfused
I'm a little annoyed actually that I still don't have an explanation to my symptoms.
Back to square one I guess. Sad

That was just like me. Had blood tests for everything including Thyroid but they couldn't find anything. Have you had a colonoscopy ?

Cathaka15 · 10/10/2016 20:53

No I haven't had a colonoscopy but will go to GP tomorrow and request one.
Lovechocolate - how are your symptoms now?

Much better than last year. But occasionally I still have a bit of nausea and tummy pains. I think it tends to happen mid cycle. All symptoms started exactly this time last year. I ended up having a colonoscopy where they found that I have diverticulosis and I also had an endoscopy where they found gastritis. I ended up taking these awful tablets. The funny thing was the gp said the gastritis and diverticulosis wouldn't have caused my symptoms. So I didn't get any real answers. Convinced it is perimenopause but doctors said i am too young. All of this gave a severe health anxiety.

Cathaka15- how are you?

lovechocolate123 · 16/10/2016 19:43

Cathaka15 - how are you? You feeling any better?

cathaka15 · 16/10/2016 21:29

I'm only having pain now when I eat.
Going to gp again next week.

I hope you get this sorted.x

lovechocolate123 · 21/10/2016 15:04

Cathaka15 - did you manage to see your gp?

mymilkshakes00 · 21/10/2016 18:22

I did. Not much was added really. They told me of it's still bad next week. To come for some blood tests.

lovechocolate123 · 29/10/2016 21:08

How have you been?

mymilkshakes00 · 30/10/2016 08:21

Havent been too bad. But do get twinges now and then. The GP has been very unhelpful. Been there so many times now. No referrals. I'm just tired of fighting. Thank you for asking. You're the only one who does. Smile

lovechocolate123 · 30/10/2016 15:12

I know how it feels. I went through it all last year. Backwards and forwards to the gp. They made me think it was all in my head but I knew I didn't feel right. I still feel nauseous at times
and have the odd abdominal pains. Did eventually have an endoscopy and colonoscopy where they found gastritis and diverticulosis. The more I researched the more I think it is linked with perimenopause.

hanban89 · 31/10/2016 22:38

People jump to conclusions about this but it could be PID. I had this after giving birth to DD1 and wasn't finally treated until one year later. It was caused by Strep B and it turned into infection that went right through my pelvis. I had temperature on off, pain cramps feeling, just felt awful. Maybe worth suggesting? And it is not always caused by STD's as most people think! They think mine was caused by the birth.

lovechocolate123 · 13/11/2016 18:07

How are you now? Did you manage to go to the gp again ?
