I suffer from recurrent thrush. It drives me insane. Five times a month is not unusual. I live on clotrimazole, fluconazole, miconazole, nystatin, white wine vinegar, soya milk. I'm so fed up!!!!! I saw a mega lovely consultant 3 months ago who prescribed nystan tablets (1,000,000 units a day for 28 days for anyone who knows what I'm on sbout!) and fluconazole 150mg once a month and the first month was great, second month not so good and now I'm back to square one. What next?????!!!!!!!!! Anybody else got any answers???????!!!!!!!! xxx

Hi! I know this is an old thread but I need to spread the word for anyone who might still be interested:
I used to have pretty bad thrush pretty regularly. I tried all the stuff. Except garlic, which apparently is really bad. Nothing worked. Sometimes it was hell. Doctors didn't take it seriously.
Then a year ago I started using a mooncup and now I almost never get it. It's worked better than all the crazy diet changes and everything.
Tampons suck out all the stuff that your vagina produces to regulate itself, an it has to start again every month. Lots of thrush treatments kill it all too. Antibiotics really kill everything. Left to itself, a vagina creates an environment that protects itself from infection.
It didn't get rid of it straight away, but after a year I don't even think about thrush.
