Sudocream is useless- what to do?

Son is 17wks, and has had a red rash and slightly inflamed penis for about 2 weeks. Sudocream actually made it worse, which just confused my HV- she just kept saying, 'well, i'd recommend Sudocream normally' as if it is the only product in the world! Doctor has prescribed something, but that's not really doing much either. Son doesn't seem bothered by it- could it be related to his teething? And does anyone have any recommendations of something to clear it up?

My favourites are Weleda, Bepanthen and metanium. My dd has very sensitive skin and these have worked consistently for us.

Metanium is amazing.

Metaniun works great on my son and usually clears anything up in one treatment but it stains EVERYTHING so use with caution!

But bad nappy rash can have a fungal cause. I’d book a GP appt then if the Metanium doesn’t work they might prescribe a fungal cream.
