Any positive Cerazette experiences?

Hi, I posted on here a couple of weeks back about some worrying Fanjo symptoms. Eventually my health anxiety got the better of me and I saw a private gynaecologist. Gynaecologist told me I had a polyp and a large cervical ectropion and advised me to go off Microgynon and try Cerazette.

If you search Cerazette you often hear hair raising stories - so does anyone have any positive Cerazette experience? I originally went on the pill as a way of improving my skin, so I'm particularly worried about getting acne.

Sorry not a positive one. I fell pregnant on cerazette, and so did my sister. We both used it properly (took at same time everyday, didn't miss one)

I've been on cerazette for several years. It really works for me. I get no bleeding at all. No weight gain, no skin problems. Maybe, I'm one of the lucky ones.

Oh dear! Seems like it's worth a try but only if I don't get pregnant! I suppose no contraception is 100%

I was happy with it, made my periods much lighter (very heavy since having dc) no trouble with my moods, even stopped my periods - except that was because I was pregnant! Never again for me!

Fluffy101 · 17/10/2014 21:18

I've been on it for about 3 years no periods I love it :)

Naoko · 17/10/2014 21:22

I was on it for 7 years, didn't get pregnant, didn't get acne, never had periods. did murder my libido in the face, but I didn't notice that till I came off it so I guess YMMV

WrappedInABlankie · 17/10/2014 21:22

I got pregnant on cerezette it also messed up my periods big style! and was put on microgynon which caused me to get intracranial hypertension. so was put on micronor and got pregnant twice on that (one ectopic).

Avoid all three

Cerazette was the best pill I've ever been on. No periods and minimal side effects.

KeemaNaanAndCurryOn · 17/10/2014 21:26

Also, didn't get pg on it for the 4 years I was on, but did get PG after stopping it, which I know some folk say they have problems with.

ByTheWishingWell · 17/10/2014 21:27

I was on it for years, and had no bad side effects. I did get pregnant twice though.

Wolfcub · 17/10/2014 21:28

Bloody love it, it's changed my life

ThursdayLast · 17/10/2014 21:30

I was on it for a year. Absolutely no problems.
Only changed recently as my skin had recently got a bit bad, and wanted to ring the changes just in case it was the pills fault. I'm sure it's just because I finished bfing though.

fruitpastille · 17/10/2014 21:30

I'm on it post baby as it is ok to bf. Absolutely fine. I think implanon gave me acne but my skin is fine on cerazette (generally have good skin tho).

AntsMarching · 17/10/2014 21:30

I was on it for two years. It sent me into a terrible depression. I stopped taking it and the symptoms were gone almost immediately.

AntsMarching · 17/10/2014 21:31

Oh and it killed my libido, that also returned immediately after going off it.

2kidsintow · 17/10/2014 21:37

I'm OK on cerazette.

No libido in particular, but that hasn't seemed to chance depending on what pill I'm on or whether I'm off them trying to conceive.

No weight gain (well, I have, but only since starting another medicine for something else)

No periods (that's the good bit).

For a while I seemed prone to really bad cystic acne, to the point of me trying to come off the pill as it was bad. But then it settled down and I only get a few nasty spots from time to time.

doubleshotespresso · 17/10/2014 21:45

I got one Big Fat Positive on Cerazette! After many losses and forgetting the idea, DD is now 4 months old.....Grin

Makingchanges · 17/10/2014 21:47

Been on it for nearly 9 years. no problems, no bleeding. love it

bluebump · 17/10/2014 21:50

I felt really odd when I first started taking it but after a few months those side effects went away and i've been on it for years now with no problems at all, no periods, no skin problems etc.

LadySybilLikesCake · 17/10/2014 21:51

I've been on it since October and my skin's not great. My back's covered and I've never had more than 4 on my shoulders. I get the odd spot on my face. Mood wise, I'm a bit short tempered but it really is just a little. I do feel happier. The bleeding has stopped but I get the odd hour every few weeks where I bleed a little, it's no where near the psycho in the loo scene that it was, which is progress.

exWifebeginsat40 · 17/10/2014 22:03

i love it. been on it 5 months now. had a few days weird bleeding to begin with but not a sniff of a period since. i'm actually losing weight (rapidly gained when starting on an anti-psychotic 2 years ago). no mood swings. i'm a bit spotty but eh, i can live with that.

trinity0097 · 18/10/2014 10:28

Haven't had a period in years on it. Not a huge libido, but can live with that! Never want to stop it as I don't want periods back!

Wineorcider · 18/10/2014 17:51

Another lucky one here, no breakthrough bleeding after taking it back to back for years. No weight gain, no mood swings, no skin problems Smile

Best thing that ever happened, being prescribed it Smile Smile

aleC4 · 18/10/2014 19:11

I've been on Cerazette for about 4 years now. I felt strange when I first went on it and had terrible insomnia for about 3 weeks but it soon settled down. I had a bit of weird bleeding at first too but now haven't had a period for about 3.5 years. For me it was definitely worth sticking with it.

specialsubject · 19/10/2014 14:51

no problems, no bleeding, no baby.

works for me. But we all have different body chemistries.
