Period question

O.k, i cannot remember when my last period was but i'm sure i am due about now, as i have been getting cramps and headaches which is usually a sure sign. However my period hasn't arrived. All i have had is a very small amount of pale red/pinky blood, which has now dissapeared and nothing since. I still have back ache but nothing to go with it.

I'm confused, this has never happened before.

Any ideas ??
The only thing i could think of was that it's stress related.

I rememeber us (and others) talking about this before and some other MNetters had similar circumstances to you, birth wise, and they said they would not be at any risk if having more.

Is it something in particular ( other than your Sections) that made the Doc say no more. Being nosey here, don't answer if you don't want too.

I feel the same about not having more but with me it's just DH saying enough. The swine!

I had anti-C antibodies when i had ds. He wasn't affected by them whilst i was pregnant but he was jaundiced and aneliac for weeks afterwards.
He came off pretty lightly really, but the doc made sure i knew that things could be worse if there was a next time.
The antibodies would start off at the level they were at when i had ds (which was about 5 i think). They could stay the same throughout pregnancy or increase. Also, just becuase ds wasn't affected by level 5 another baby might be, apparently it just depends.
I was supposed to go for a consultation about it about 3 mths after i had ds, but couldn't face it.

Could you contact the consultant in the future to find out more, after all as you said yourself you are only 25 and definatley NOT out of child baring age.

It is sad to rule it out completely and who knows what the future holds for you..........

hope you are doing ok nutty. Take it easy and try not to think about all of those whatifs. Fact is that you have three gorgeous children that you love very much, worry about whether or not to have any more on another day and just enjoy the rest of your weekend.
One positive thing out of this is that it has given you a bit more time to consider whether or not to have any more children at a time to suit you, not just forced upon you by fate out of the blue. You are so young and have loads of time to think about all of that.

For goodness sake ring the date so you know for next time And as I have told you before, antibodies can be dealt with in pregnancy. My consultant told me that doctors should never tell women that they must never get pregnant again!
