Period question

nutcracker · 26/03/2004 14:21

O.k, i cannot remember when my last period was but i'm sure i am due about now, as i have been getting cramps and headaches which is usually a sure sign. However my period hasn't arrived. All i have had is a very small amount of pale red/pinky blood, which has now dissapeared and nothing since. I still have back ache but nothing to go with it.

I'm confused, this has never happened before.

Any ideas ??
The only thing i could think of was that it's stress related.

You're not stupid.

nutcracker · 26/03/2004 22:01

Oh i am. What 25 yr old with 3 kids uses the withdrawal method as contraception and thinks she'll get away with it.

OP posts:
emmatmg · 26/03/2004 22:03

This 30 yr old does!

emmatmg · 26/03/2004 22:04

I mean that's what we use too......half the time at least

nutcracker · 26/03/2004 22:08

Well that makes me feel slightly better.
Ever got pregnant that way though ???

emmatmg · 26/03/2004 22:09

emmatmg · 26/03/2004 22:09

emmatmg · 26/03/2004 22:21

Going to bed now but didn't want to abandon this one or you without saying night night.

Hope you get a chance to do a test tomorrow Nutty. Good Luck.

Loobie · 27/03/2004 11:23

Any news nutty? did you manage to test today yet?

spacemonkey · 27/03/2004 11:37

blimey i've only just seen this! hope you're ok nutty X

StripyMouse · 27/03/2004 11:59

hows it going nutty? Any news? If you haven?t done a test, for goodness sake, do one. It won?t change the outcome, but at least you can stop worrying about the outcome and start planning if you are. No more excuses, you can distract DD easily in a shop and buy one quick as a flash! Good Luck, will be thinking of you and watching this thread for news

emmatmg · 27/03/2004 12:02

Been checking this thread since 6am(thanks to DS3) and now keep think you're here Nutty.

Hope you're okay.

nutcracker · 27/03/2004 12:52

Right i've done a test and it's....NEGATIVE

I still feel a bit strange and no sign of period yet, but i think i must have just mixed my dates up.

Thanks for all of the help

Kayleigh · 27/03/2004 13:39

Glad it's turned out ok for you nutty.
I am usually very regular 28-30 days, but every 6 months or so I go at least 35-40 days and it is always really painful when it does arrive.
Maybe your cycle is just changing a bit.
And next time make a note on your calendar !!

emmatmg · 27/03/2004 16:15

Phew.....glad it turned out okay for you.

nutcracker · 27/03/2004 21:40

Have to admitt that despite all the probs it would of caused i am a bit dissapointed

OP posts:
Lisa78 · 27/03/2004 21:44

Glad all okay Nutty. I think I know how you feel, you get so shocked at the thought you might be pg unexpectedly but you also start getting your head round it at the same time. Then when you're not, its like you have "lost" that child you were getting used to. When I was expecting DS2, I was CONVINCED he was a girl, and when they told us I was expecting a boy, I felt like I had "lost" the girl that I had in my head - does that make sense?

nutcracker · 27/03/2004 21:47

Perfect sense Lisa. I know it would have probably been the worst time for me to have another baby, but i feels sooo sad sometimes that i'll never have another one.

OP posts:
emmatmg · 27/03/2004 21:49

I did wonder if you would feel like that Nutty.

Sending a hug {{{{{}}}}} to you.

P.s I am honestly not stalking you

nutcracker · 27/03/2004 21:51

Thats o.k stalk away. It's nice to be wanted

Honestly though it's frightening how your mind runs away with you. I was already thinking of names, and sneaked a look at double buggies.
I seriously think i'm nuts sometimes

OP posts:
emmatmg · 27/03/2004 21:58

Ohhhhh, I did that.

I was looking at double buggies before DH had even agreed to No.3 and once the 'deed' was done and I knew I was PG (even before testing I knew) I had chosen which one to buy........and bought it when I was 7 weeks PG!

Needless to say it was relegated to the carboot when DS3 was about 6 weeks old because it was too heavy/big/annoying etc etc etc and I started using the buggy board that DS1 used when DS2 was a baby. Oppps waste of money but such fun shopping for it.

One day the time will be right for you have another one if you reaaly want too Nutty, don't rule it out completely.

nutcracker · 27/03/2004 22:02

I would of been sooo scared too though as it would of meant my 4th section and probs with anti-bodies. I can still remember the doc coming round in hospital lecturing me on NOT getting pregnant again.
Wasn't bothered at the time, as i had alot on my plate. Now however, it does trouble me sometimes. I mean i'm only 25 and no more babies. It's hard to imagine.
Feel free to tell me to shut up, i know i should be so grateful for what i've got (i am too).

OP posts:
kiwisbird · 27/03/2004 22:05

Hiya Nutty

Umm I got faint pink mucous bleed ishness for one day when I was 14 days over (last month), then full on heavy period 2 day later just after I had convinced myself I was pregnant (how? despite no sex I still managed to believe it)
If that helps you sleep then
xx

nutcracker · 27/03/2004 22:07

Thanks KB, i don't feel a bit silly for thinking i was pregnant now, and wasting nearly 9 quid on a test, but at least i know now.

OP posts:
nutcracker · 27/03/2004 22:08

I mean i DO feel a bit silly.

I probably won't really believe it until i get my period though.
