No.

ilovepowerhoop · 27/05/2013 18:29

no. There are probably much worse things on the grass than sperm too!

CajaDeLaMemoria · 27/05/2013 18:31

Have you seen anyone about your OCD regarding semen yet?

You really need too.

ChippingInWiredOnCoffee · 27/05/2013 18:32

You definitely need to speak to someone to help you with your issues -this really isn't a normal way to think/feel :(

Pancakeflipper · 27/05/2013 18:34

No, and what germs do you get from sperm?

CajaDeLaMemoria · 27/05/2013 18:40

For what it's worth, though, if the dirty laundry was washed and then put out to dry, it wouldn't have semen on.

I'm not sure why you'd rinse dirty laundry and then put it out; especially if it had semen/other bodily fluids on, so I thought it was worth saying.

Please see your GP, though.

Skinnywhippet · 27/05/2013 18:44

What? The grass will have much worse things.

BloggingAboutTediousThings · 27/05/2013 18:49

I suggest that you don't sit on the grass for a while. You might get pregnant...

highgirl · 27/05/2013 19:00

The laundry was only rinsed by mistake only reaslised next day washer was on rinse cycle by that time had out it out to dry. It has been re washed now though.

I'm sorry this is stressing you so much . However thinking more logically, surely you are in contact with semen/germs more when you had sex and once dried iinto sheets etc are less of a potential "contaminant. If they were out on the sunlight itself is a bleaching/sanitising agent.

highgirl · 27/05/2013 19:01

Your right I should just cut the grass my head is all over the place and I'm on meds trying to get better.

OP posts:
highgirl · 27/05/2013 19:03

Thanks LIZS just the thought that the washing went on the grass then I take the mower over it and the rest of the garden it spreads around all over the place. I have to walk through there to my shed and washing line daily so nightmare when you have OCD. Am I reassured there is nothing to worry about now?

FannyFifer · 27/05/2013 19:10

Awww HighGirl, so sorry you are so stressed by this, must be awful for you.
The grass will be absolutely fine by now. Even if it had been contaminated with semen the rain the last few weeks will have got rid of any possible spread, lots of chemicals in rain so it would have no chance of survival. Grin

You should maybe go back and speak to someone and get a medication review as worrying like this is no way to be living my dear.

highgirl · 27/05/2013 19:14

Was at the docs today and increased my meds to double dose will take frist tom so will be another week of hell probably. Thanks for the reassurance I thought that too it's just nice to hear someone else say it too. Not much available from doctor but meds just now.

ChippingInWiredOnCoffee · 27/05/2013 19:21

I really am so sorry that you feel like this - the stress must be overwhelming at times :( I hope you can get through this week then the meds should help.

highgirl · 27/05/2013 19:32

It's one thing after another once one worry goes another starts up. Like today I did some laundry and there weer some period blood stained knickers anyway I was wondering should I re wash the whole load or just the knickers that the stain didn't come out of. I posted already on yahoo and the message I got was that the washing was clean and it was just stain that was harmless is this right???

OP posts:
ChippingInWiredOnCoffee · 27/05/2013 19:39

Yes, that's right - they are clean, just stained.

Love - are you OCD about other things too or is it 'just' germs?

highgirl · 27/05/2013 19:40

Mainly germs it's a living hell being like this. Sorry for allthe questions.

TheFallenNinja · 27/05/2013 19:42

Sperm germs Smile

ChippingInWiredOnCoffee · 27/05/2013 19:44

Ask away if it helps you - I wish there was some other way to help you.

PowerPants · 27/05/2013 22:22

Highgirl - OCD is awful, hoping the increase in drugs will help you.

Pancakeflipper · 27/05/2013 22:33

All the mind whirling and thinking of possibles etc is exhausting, hope things improve for you Highgirl. Must be very very hard work. There's good people ( not me) who will listen and help you on here. Support is good.

highgirl · 28/05/2013 12:44

The blood stained pants are stil ldriving me crazy sitting here tryingto decide if the rest of the washing is clean to be dried or will I just re wash it for peace of mind I know I shouldn't but it's very hard not to give in to it.

OP posts:
LIZS · 28/05/2013 13:37

The rest of the wash is fine - detergent , heat (from sun or tumble drier) would remove any residues. Soak the pants in vanish or bleach and rewash on hot (or throw away), in future separate the items you fear from the main load.

Startail · 28/05/2013 13:44

Hydrogen peroxide from the chemists removes blood stain, great fun, it fizzes if there's enough blood.
Absolutely convinces you everything is dead.

I can assure you that it's clean and dead already from being washed, stain is probably mostly iron and totally harmless.
