A friend of mine had a similar scare recently and it turned out to be a cyst. Hope your GP is right and that it isn't the worst.

WigWamBam · 27/03/2006 12:46

She'll be saying it's "good" that it moves around and that it hurts because mobile or painful lumps are usually fibroadenomas or cysts rather than anything nasty. Fingers crossed that she's right.

Hope you can get it checked out quickly; the waiting is horrible.

EvesMama · 27/03/2006 12:46

no, she wrote out form while i was there and said it could take 4-6 weeks!
im no good!
i feel really deflated and sorry for myself, the pain is bearable but sore but the thought of other stuff is worse

JellyJelly

Are you saying you found a lump at Christmas and only went to the Drs this morning ?

jellyjelly · 27/03/2006 13:39

yes

LadySherlockofLGJ · 27/03/2006 13:45

No answer to that. Shock

jellyjelly · 27/03/2006 13:47

Broken leg, lots of hospital admissions, i got it checked but couldnt do it sooner. Couldnt do anything about it till now.

brimfull · 27/03/2006 13:51

EvesMama · 27/03/2006 14:19

my dh won't talk about it,refuses to because he says it will be fine .He says why worry when it's probably going to be fine.
Can't talk about it to dd as don't want her to worry.Told my cleaner this am and she said she's been through it a few times, she was really understanding.

jellyjelly · 27/03/2006 14:23

mine doesnt hurt, found it on christmas day then had a really nasty accident the next day and had so many other more important (at the time) health issues that it got pushed to the back burner. Doctor was so laid back about it and said she could refer me if i wanted to. Isaid yes straight away but she didnt tell me the wait.

jellyjelly · 27/03/2006 14:24

Come on here if you need to chat.

brimfull · 27/03/2006 14:29

No I forgot to ask how long the wait would be.Hope it's not too long.May think about a private consultation if it's going to be a long wait.

brimfull · 27/03/2006 14:30

Find myself welling up when I thnk about it ,how are you?

jellyjelly · 27/03/2006 14:35

I am alright, worried because i had to leave it 3 months and because all of the females in my family have had b.cancer so i have to be careful but have to think of the positives as i have a ds who is just 3. This year as been horrible health wise but i have got through it so i hope i can get through this too.

brimfull · 27/03/2006 14:38

I have a 3yr ds aswell, sorry to hear you've had such a bad year.Have you fully recovered now?

jellyjelly · 27/03/2006 14:50

no, will be lots of rehab, lots of work, should hopefully be ready (in that i will be able to work normally)in time for my wedding in 3 months but will have lots of pain for another year.

EvesMama · 27/03/2006 15:29
