Mainly with organic milk, and the odd bit of oily fish.

gladbag · 09/03/2006 14:20

Ds (2) has organic milk, but will not eat oily fish (I've tried many many times in various guises) so he gets the vanilla eye q liquid mixed into his porridge every morning.

foxinsocks · 09/03/2006 14:23

mackerel/salmon

weirdly also found the yoghurt delivered this month has added omega 3 aswell

ds also likes walnuts

moonshine · 09/03/2006 14:27

They eat those Omega-3 enriched eggs a few times a week.

Fauve · 09/03/2006 14:29

Organic milk and dairy stuff, mostly, but also peanut/hazelnut butter, and I hope taramasalata has some in, since they virtually live on it. I should make my own really, then I could make sure.

emmawill · 09/03/2006 14:51

I have a posh 13 month old who doesn't like eating much but one thing she loves is smoked salmon, cream cheese and avocado sandwichs!!! she has expensive taste. Smile

madmarchhare · 09/03/2006 14:53

Anybody know how old they have to be for eye q or simillar?

newkid · 09/03/2006 15:10

dd loves the vanilla eye q - weird weird child. It tastes like tarted-up cod liver oil - ugh. BTW I think it's the type of Omega 3 (or 6) that is really key should be more of one than the other. I know eye q has the right amounts but some foods that claim to have omega 3/6 do not.

Just checked bottle - should be 3 or 4 times more EPA than DHA.

beetroot · 09/03/2006 16:33

my kids hate that vanilla stuff New kid

What are omega 3s for that matter!

Papillon · 09/03/2006 16:37

Linseed

I toast it and add cheese which melts to the seed - dd loves it

beetroot · 09/03/2006 16:39

\link{http://www.mercola.com/2001/sep/8/omega_3.htm\ omega 3's}

OP posts:

I've started buying some milk with it added-- Advance I think it's called. My kids won't go within 2 miles of an omega 3 supplement.

Think the milk buying is just a phase I'm going through though. Will poss grow out of it soon.

Uwila · 09/03/2006 16:56

Haliborange for us too. And Nanny is instructed to feed salmon minimum of one dinner per week.

Oh CD, how have you missed the fish oil craze????

Jodee · 09/03/2006 17:05

Ds couldn't stand any of the supplements until I tried him on Boots own - with the pink label, which he loves.
Oily fish for dinner once a week as well.

LIZS · 09/03/2006 17:24

Efalex chewables atm . Plus we buy the smart milk when I remember. ds doesn't eat egg but we try to do salmon or other fish every week or two.

NannyL · 09/03/2006 17:43

Mine LOVE salmon (and most fish except tuna).... and organic milk and dairy products which are higher in omega 3 than non organic!

CountessDracula · 09/03/2006 17:47

is it in Tuna? Dd eats tuna sarnies at least twice a week

SenoraPostrophe · 09/03/2006 17:48

yes - it is in tuna.

mine eat that and sardines sometimes. and very rarely, smoked haddock. mmm smoked haddock.

CountessDracula · 09/03/2006 17:49

mmmm

Uwila · 09/03/2006 17:51

Yes, but only FRESH tuna. Tinned tuna has no oil left in it.
