Talk to me about Male Breast Cancer please

My DH has a small pea sized lump under his nipple. He saw the GP yesterday and has an appointment at the breast clinic on Monday to see a specialist. GP obviously said very little.

He has no pain or discomfort. I've been reading up on this and it appears that BC is a possibility. I've not passed this info onto DH and just keep reassuring him that it's more than likely a cyst or blocked duct. I lost my mum to BC and I'm really trying to stay positive when inside I'm bricking it.

Does anyone have any experience of Male BC?

One of my male cousins had a lump removed when he was a teen, 20 years ago. He's had no problems since (I don't know what it was, sorry, I was a self-absorbed teen at the time!)

Fingers crossed for your DH, hope it's something easily treated.

no experience of male bc - but do pop over to tamoxifen thread for some hand holding - it must be very hard for you having lost your mum to bc.

tamoxifen thread - we have nearly all had a bc diagnosis and can reassure and hand hold !
