Help Dental emergency...Is this normal?

I had 2 root fillings on Thursday afternoon, with lots of valium and support from mum & DH ('cos I hate the dentist so much I had hypnotherapy to even enable me to go)

Yesterday was uncomfortable but with 4 hourly paracetamol & codeine I was OK

Today however I am in such pain - the painkillers are wearing off after about 2 hours and I have to spend 2 hrs in absolute agony - I really am hurting

Is this normal? Do I need stronger painkillers?

What else should/can I do?

Katy, don't worry. I have had dental pain & seen alot of people with it. (Inc firemen, hefty lorry drivers & believe me, THEY are the worse ones)

Did you speak to your dentist yet? What did he/she recommend?
