My poor ds has just had massive puke for first time in his life-he is nearly 15 months.

No doubt I will get it next

Rudolphthebluenosedteddy · 19/12/2005 21:33

It is doing the rounds BIG time!
My DS2 had the squits from last Thursday onwards & then both H & DS1 started throwing up within an hour of each other on Monday night!
My Mum came round to help for a few hours on Tuesday & was throwing up herself by 4pm that afternoon!
Now both my sister & BIL have it & my Dad had it last night!
It has closed 4 wards at a hospital near us!

Rudolphthebluenosedteddy · 19/12/2005 21:35

It is a gastric flu type thing where we are, with fever symptoms etc.

Rudolphthebluenosedteddy · 19/12/2005 21:38

I live in Kent, BTW!

Twiglett · 19/12/2005 21:39

SE London (although we've missed it so far)

Yup - Winter Vomiting Virus is doing the rounds. Schools have been closed in the South West, and Midlands apparently. Symptoms last approx 3 days apparently.

Rudolphthebluenosedteddy · 19/12/2005 21:43

Last Thursday we had 13 staff absent with it! (I work in a school!)

notasheep · 19/12/2005 22:08

Rudolphthebluenosedteddy · 20/12/2005 16:29

Glad to hear your DS is feeling better today, notasheep.
My sister phoned me last night & both her & my BIL have been really knocked for 6 with it.

Rudolphthebluenosedteddy · 21/12/2005 09:46

Well...just as I thought we had seen an end to the sickness in our house - DS2 went & threw up in his bed last night - 8 days after his brother!
Looks like we are not out of the woods for Christmas, after all!
