yasterday the nurse tested me for...

chlamydia ! oh the shame , i havent been feeling well for a few months now i get the shakes and get hot flushed quite bad i have also got a really bad problem with my waterworks i go to the loo nearly every 20 mins and i cant belive im telling everyone this but i keep wetting myslef only little bits but im so ashamed and embarresed so i told all this to the nurse she was ve nice about it all and told me i should of told her when it started insead of suffering,

she spoke to the doc who told her to do a blood test for thirod (sp) to she if this is what causeing the sweats and shamkes, and a urine test for chlamydia, im so embarreded i have been with dp for 6 years havent even been near another man he was my first, i have asked dp if he has slpet with anyone else but he said no,

just have to wait 2 weeks for reslits now

You poor thing . Fingers crossed for you and hope they can sort out your problems. Have you thought about what you would do if it is positive ?

god i dont no i suppose ill have to drap dp down the docs and get him tested and ask him some questions the nurse said it can go for years undetected but surely not 6 years and when i had dd i was tested for thing but not sure if i was tested for chlamydia ??

Ah poor you nik.

You've nothing to be ashamed of-you're getting whatever it is sorted and that's a very wise thing.

How are you? How is dd and college? Haven't seen you much recently.

Nikcola - You wouldn't have routinely been tested for Chlamydia during pregnancy. I was tested before getting the Mirena Coil fitted though.

DOn't be ashamed!!!! SOOOOOOOO many women are infected and know nothing about it. I've got 2 friends that have tested +ve. Its nothing to do with a checquered past.....

Also, has your partner ever slept with anyone else in that 6 years???? He could well be the carrier showing no symptoms.

You sound like you're having a terrible time of it. My pelvic floor isn't the greatest and I have been known to 'leak' when I sneeze.

hi hun, im fine thanks so is dd shes 4 today! college finished in july but i havent beeb on here much, i worked as a hca for bupa for 5 weeks then gave it up as i saw horrible things and hated it loved the residents though!

I was tested for Chlamydia after having DD - I had piles of weird symptoms, and he said that they are testing for it more and more now just to be on the safe side - if they have tested for it, then they know they can rule it out iyswim?

Obviously, he could have just been saying that, but it seemed feasible.

i hav4e asked him if he has slep with anyone else since meeting me and he has said no but if i have it then it must be him il just have to wait and see but if its negative ill have to go to an incontinace clinic im only 21! whats next tenna pants

Hi nickola, i am 26 and two years ago, i had to visit a clinic because of problems with my waterworks. I had a period of internal physio, which is basically pelvic floor exercises with someone checking your strength. My physio was absolutely lovely and put me at ease, I've made a sramatic improvement now and as long as i empty my bladder regularly I don't have to worry too much about sneezing. Before i would caugh and literally empty my whole bladder, i once got a severe cough and couldn't leave the house because of my bladder. the crunch came for me when i was sick all over my stairs and weeing at the same time. As I said i have improved and seeking help at your age is nothing to be embaressed of, there are also ops you can have but I have decided to leave that for now. Try not to let this get to you x

You can be shown exercises which will strengthen the muscles or in (highly unlikely) worst case scenarion have an operation.
Very common after childbirth.

i really hope its sorted out soon, i just dont like waiting! i dont no how the hell i can wee so much have been 7 time allready and they are propper long wee's lol i have only had 2 small coffies!

Hi NIk - you poor thing, you are having a really bad time.
Try not to worry too much - it sounds as if you have an infection of some kind (maybe Chlamydia, maybe something else), so clearning that up should help a lot.

You may well not have been tested in pregnancy, but I thought they did do STD tests before other procedures, iyswim....to make sure there is nothing that could cause infection. Ask if tests were done then.

I think the only tenna pads you change in the next few years will be your patients, not yours!

no the doc tested for them last week when i went to see him cause i thought i had a water infection also done a preg test yesterday just to ake sure even though im on injection for past 3 years

PID (pelvic inflammatory disease?) anyway, I guess they are testing for anything likely.

When you get the results, ask what tests were done when you had your op last year.

And in the meantime, stay off coffee and alcohol, they are both diuretics and will cause you to wee more!

Have you got any jobs between now and September?

when i had the abortion blu could i have caught it from the hospital cause i was really ill afterwards and in hospital for a feww days ?

Chlamydia specifically is an STD. Doesn't mean to say that is what you have, but , as it could affect the waterworks, they probably want to rule it out, just as they did a UTI.

Have you had a smear test recently? In my area they routinely test everyone under 25 for clamydia at the same time.
