Anyone taken Diazepam for anxiety?

Doctor has just precribed these to me. I haven't picked up prescription yet but has just given me a few days worth to take along with some other anti d's that he says will take a couple of weeks to kick in. He has given me the diazepam to take so they kick in immediately while waiting for the others to take effect.

I have never taken any medication like this and am a bit scared if I am honest.

Has anyone taken them? Do they work? What are the side effects?

I am ok, feel a bit tired and lightheaded so may head off to bed in a few mins.

Well for the first time in a long time I slept all night without waking up worrying in the middle of the night. Brilliant! Feel good today too so far Smile

I just came looking to ask you how you slept. It is wonderful to have a good nights sleep isn't it? I still had a dream but it was about buying clothes for my children who were bigger than the clothes I was buying while shopping with an ex friend. There was more to it but can't quite recall what.

woohoo - that's fab - hope you're still feeling good now Smile

It is a really good drug taken at the right time for the right reasons. I have to admit that in my 'yoof', I used to rather enjoy more than were good for me quantities washed down with large anounts of gin - how I never ended up in casualty is a mystery Blush
