Not due to see specialist for more results till weds but had to send him to local out of hours at hospital. His been peeing for england for few days, complaining of pains in kidney and very firm belly :( had to force him out of door.
Hoping its nothing too bad and his not kept in :(
please talk to me until i know whats happening.

talking and holding. Could it be kidney infection?

KatyMac · 26/09/2010 21:41

Hand holding

Men are such babies when it comes to medical care

NotanOtter · 26/09/2010 21:43

lisa you are a star
hope you hear something soon

Northernlurker · 26/09/2010 21:45

You've done the right thing and if they keep him in likely it'll only be over night whilst they give him an MOT and start antibiotics or whatnot. Have you had something to eat and drink tonight?

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 26/09/2010 21:45

i just know how we got to this again, thought we haad got passed all this crap :( I know if its any infection they will likely be keeping him in, and not sure if they will stop treatment agggrrr

You will get there Lisa - you will - this is just another challenge on the road.

Northernlurker · 26/09/2010 21:48

Ok - so cup of tea now and then do the uniforms. Then another cup of tea and lunches Grin

KatyMac · 26/09/2010 21:48

It's the not knowing isn't it - the 'how long will I have to wait for an update'

DH is going in (hopefully this week....maybe tomorrow) & it was only when he agreed to go without argument that I realised how crap he was feeling

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 26/09/2010 21:50

oh he fought me on it, then told me his been like it all day but didnt tell me as he knew what i would say Angry
Just watching xfactor (promised him i would wait till he got back but need a distraction)

You're a good team - this is the point of marriage isn't it? When one is weak the other will be strong. When one is being a numpty about medical stuff the other will tell them to get their backside out of the door and down to the docs Grin

5inthebed · 26/09/2010 21:56

Hope it isn't anything serious Lisa.

Fingers crossed x

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 26/09/2010 21:56

Its so frustrating & if you rang they would shuffle you round & then not tell you anything because despite him giving permission for you to know "everything" the person on the phone won't have that particular piece of paper

Or is that just me? Wink

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 26/09/2010 22:09

he has mobile

OP posts:
KatyMac · 26/09/2010 22:10

Fingers crossed for something soon - he may not have been seen yet?

tibni · 26/09/2010 22:11

sb6699 · 26/09/2010 22:13

2shoes · 26/09/2010 22:14

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 26/09/2010 22:18

oh way home now, GP thinks could be side effects of drugs or viral infection. Going to have bloods done in morning and call macmillian nurse too.

Hi Lisa, just spotted this thread, really sorry as I know how scary all this is. Harry was 999 twice in July into hosp, both time infection, traced to the picc line. He too pees for England esp the first week after chemo, he too had back pain thought it was his kidneys but they were clear. Hope you get some sleep, Harry is now sleeping downstairs as his sleep pattern is so poor. Thinking of you xx

NotanOtter · 26/09/2010 22:24

good! Glad he is coming home tonight
