Not read anything just came to share story of party.

80s themed, mates 40th birtjday. Great fun. DP passed Mole to a friend of ours to have a 'munch' Two minutes later Mole just threw up and threw up and threw up. All over the dance floor, my friend and DP, seemed like pints and pints. Was noodles mixed with petit filous, Strawberry scented.

Brian - yep, sick was a dominant feature of the first year of DS's life, I think he had undiagnosed reflux. Stupid bint HV wouldn't let him have Gaviscon as he was putting on some weight, even though a hospital paed said he should have it.

SAF - it was sort of a similar thing when I lost my friend a few months ago in circumstances that made the papers. Not that I objected to the paper coverage, but it was more when I googled it it was upsetting, when one family's tragedy is blogosphere armchair expert opinion spotting across blogs/forums etc.

Bitter.. your DS sounds much like mine.. a real smart cookie who is like soap.. if you try to encourage him to 'try harder' he wriggles out of it. Whereas DD isn't so blessed but tries really really hard.

conked out early last night after nights and nights of insomnia and slept a little better. I NEED to see a doctor about my lady mechanics though. Not due on but am in extreme discomfort. And I need a smear. Please nag me next week....

SAF - just on your fb profile now, can't see the video. competely get where you are coming from, v. similar sort of issues with my late friend, lots of technical/hobbyist detached discussions about what should have been done differently on the blogs etc. I guess one day it might (probably will) get further telly/book coverage as part of a wider issue.

it's all v. interesting your life story, you've had quite an international life - mine is a lot more parochial! one of my best female friends is a v. clever multilingual type too - mother tongues french and german, fluent in english and portuguese and probably could do quite well in spanish too!
