Oh dear mouse, clean up in aisle Nemo, we have a code brown!

Not working, Joe is on the late, so I think I'll put pops to bed early and watch a film or read with DS.

Aw, sounds nice Bitter. I used to love snuggling up with DD and reading. I'd fall asleep with her more often than not!!!

Double - I don't do fish. And not in a pie. Prawns, tuna and that's about it.

Operation clean up Nemo was a success. Phew!! Grin

Oh I like fish pie... I'd just kill for someone to cook me a meal these days.

Although.. I agreed to 'keep in touch' with my Ex MiL and tomorrow is One Of Those DaysHmm She is 92 so although we have a differences, I can put them aside and be gracious even if she can't.

I've just done the bra thing....

Hope this the start of things looking up Bitter Smile xx

Have one of DD's friends here so might cheat and get chips in, pile of B and B and something easy to bung in the oven.

I belted out the entire Album of Carol King's Tapestry at work today... I really should give up my day job! They have a slidy panelled floor that is ace for getting the groove on!

Mouseface · 10/09/2010 16:14

Hey Mittz - sounds like you had a fab day!!! Cleared the cobwebs singing?!! Grin

Man, I am never going to catch up with you guys!

I'm hormonal. I nearly cried at work today for no reason.

The good news. I can do this, there's nothing that seems beyond me and I'm learning it. So that's a bonus, I was worried my ability to learn something new would have disappeared, but it hasn't. Woohoo.

I'm going to drink wine and eat fish and chios tonight. Ive been very good all week, only taking a sandwich into work so I'm not tempted to snack or have a big lunch. I bet i've halved my calories. I'm certainly feeling a bit trimmer.

How are all you lovely ladies?

Evening all

Glad work went well UNO.

Saf, that's why DS didn't get taken to the cinema until he was 4 - he would have been that child. (Although I hope I wouldn't have been that mother!)

Mittz, I love a good sing song, not done that for ages.

Double, I make a mean fish pie, but not often as I don't like it! DH and DC wolf it down though.

Boring afternoon, sorted some laundry, fed dc. They are now in bed, hurrah!

Glass of red I fee.

Oh, and my Mum rang and asked if she could take DC out for lunch tomorrow. Shock

I think my sister may have had a word with her.

saf - when DS saw Toy Story 3 last month, it was the first film (at 6) that he sat down all the way through, that I didn't have to take him out (usually for scaredness) at 4 he would have been a nightmare, so well done to your DS (and boo to the other mum for not making more effort).

Mittz - sounds like a productive week

Uno - first week is the hardest.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 10/09/2010 19:44

I'll teach you to make fish pie no probs saf. Is dead simple. Ditto Lasagne.

I always helped my Mum in the kitchen but got really into cooking when I was about 13 or 14 I think?

My parents used to invite their best friends round and I would cook them a 3 course meal. I still can't do fancy schmancy but do believe if you can read you can cook.

At University I was the only one not living off of pot noodles, but I think that's because I enjoy my food too much. That's probably why I like cooking tbh.

Saf, I feel a cow most days with DS. He winds me up so much that I tend to miss the bits when he is being really good. Blush

Double, I once went a whole month without cooking the same thing twice.

Wish I had written down what we had, as we tend to get stuck in the same rut. 9 or Ten recipes rolled out over the weeks. Always a roast on sunday though. Smile
