My DC'S hate me unless I say yes Mouse DS has had nearly £300 spent on him over the last 2 1/2 weeks and I just said no to something and he has stropped off sulking.. pah

Mouseface · 04/08/2010 14:35

Mittz - I just hate that she acts this way, even when I give her justification for my decisions.

I know I was the same.

Maybe today's word should be Pha!!

A big fat Pha!!

How's DD?

DS likes me because we have a massive chocolate cake in the oven

DD likes me because she is too young to know better.

Mouse, how old is your DD, around 11/12? I think that it's the law not to get on with your parents at that age.

Bitter - She's 11, may not make it to 12

Now if you'd made a chese cake......... or a cake of cheese, I'd like you for ever!!

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 04/08/2010 14:54

You are welcome to it.

Do you both like me enough to come and remove every chocolatey handprint and trace of flour from my house?

OP posts:
BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 04/08/2010 14:55

I don't think I've ever made a cheesecake.

I may have to remedy that by the end of the holidays.

I text DS Mouse when he is out.. 'I lv u hnee, hope u hvin a gud time, mum x'

It is a way of reaching him when he is hormonal, although compared to what we went through, his pre teens are a breeze.

I prefer Apple Pie or Fruit cake Bitter.. but I like you anyway x

Mouseface · 04/08/2010 15:01

Yes, do and send me half a slice to try!

DD has just called to say she's waiting for the bus to come back. But it drove past them. I said are you over the road from the leisure centre. No, came the reply. We are where we got off.

Cross the road, carefully, find the bus stop and call me when you get there......

Doh!!

If only I could go get her.

Well, warm with double cream and I'll have a piece to be sociable Bitter

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 04/08/2010 15:12

I'll have to remember that one when I let the DC have mobiles when they are 16 Mittz.

Wow, who would have thought a manky sponge could garner so much affection?

Bless DD mouse.

Anything else?

I'm warning you, I've promised DS he can decorate it so you are eating at your own risk.

Ummmm cake, only really for the buttercream though, love cheesecake as well.

Am petrified of when my boys get older, I am v overprotective, won't be easy to let em off the leash.

Have just been for a run, am red faced and sweaty but it's done.

Mouseface · 04/08/2010 15:23

God Lizzy - you are a fitness godess! Go you!!! My thighs are still burning!!

Mittz - like the texting idea.

Bitter - just a brew here please, no cake.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 04/08/2010 15:26

Yay Lizzy. I have done a pilates belly thing and run around after the dc - not really very good at exercise.

OP posts:
Lizzylou · 04/08/2010 15:32

Ahem, you two are a good hefty wodge of weight lighter than me, and Mouse, give yourself a break, you have a good reason why your leg muscles may not be so strong at the moment!

I know running makes me leaner quicker, 2/3 years ago I was running loads and was lightest and trimmest I'd been since a starving student, I am finding it a slog getting back into it to be honest.

Lizzylou · 04/08/2010 15:34

Bitter, I love the pilates 10min thing, it is really relaxing but still working, I feel all nice and stretched afterwards. I will look into Pilates classes for when I am at goal.
They are starting a Zumba class at the gym in September, I may have a go, but it looks a bit cheesy and daft to me. Plus I have the coordination of an blindfolded elephant.
