Has anybody received their postal votes yet? We are in Hertfordshire if relevant. Got the confirmation of registration ages ago, but feels like we are cutting it fine!

Got mine today, Wiltshire

No sign of mum's. Council helpline thingy suggested if it arrives now, she take it to the polling station. She really wants to vote but this way I think it will be turned away and we'll have spent that cab fare for nothing?

You can take your postal vote to the polling station- that is correct for all constituencies. They won't turn it away, they have to accept it. It sounds like this is really important to your Mum bless her. You can do it for her too. I'd take ID just to be careful. This is off gov.uk under the postal vote section:

"Your vote will be rejected if you do not give your ballot paper to a member of staff at the polling station or Electoral Registration Office and complete a form. Do not post your ballot paper through the letterbox of the Electoral Registration Office.
You can hand in your own postal vote and postal votes for up to 5 other voters. If you are a political campaigner, the 5 other voters must be family members or people you provide regular care for"

@nettii2414 Thank you. I just found that out ...but it wasn't easy information to find.

It would have been so much easier if they had included it on her initial registration papers. I don't know why it just says "phone the council" about everything.

I will obviously take my own ID because I have to do that anyway.

We will have to work out what she wants to do... She is very determined so I think in the end, we will just spend the taxi fare.

Though at this point, I think it's a wild guess whether or not her voting paper will arrive in time!

I received mine in Germany today. I can post it at the airport - they have a collection tomorrow. I'll never know if it arrived in time to be counted though 🤷🏻‍♀️
