Another U turn or just a vote catcher??

DistinguishedSocialCommentator · 10/06/2024 17:31

U-turn, I turn, she turns, he turns and once the voting is over, anything goes, IMHO.
How many more U turns before the GE by this dull leader who has waiting in the winges our dear friend, none other than the , Angela Rayner!!!

Signs of an extremely weak leader who is being led by media reports rather than whats right for England as he will need billions to do as they say until the next U-turn if they they got elected via the back door with coalition partner/s!!!

Labour ditches plans for £800m pensions tax raid in latest Keir Starmer U-turn

Sir Keir Starmer has confirmed the Labour party's latest U-turn as he called for stability in the UK economy.

What a load of desperate bollocks.

The next time the Daily Express knows what's "right for England" (why not the whole UK?) will be the first.

This sort of arse shows the paper that endorsed Truss for PM knows their goose is cooked.

StripedPiggy · 10/06/2024 17:54

Starmer is currently delivering a masterclass in how to win a general election from the political centre. And win it big time. It’s really quite impressive, and the more the hard left squeal & the Tories despair, the more impressive it becomes.

medianewbie · 10/06/2024 17:59

Starmer is just what we need.
Middle of the road. Not a personality just a proven hard worker who can get a handle on the 'out of control' UK situation. Infinately better than Farrage / Rish!

Shinyandnew1 · 10/06/2024 18:01

Oh, it’s you again.

got elected via the back door with coalition partner/s!

By this, do you mean, ‘voted in’?

No point asking about this, we have all tried, he just makes some different irrelevant point and starts calling you bud.
I still think OP is a faulty bit of AI.

The terror and desperation of the Tories is a joy to behold. It’s been a long wait but it’s almost been worth it.

I am enjoying watching it all unravel - they thought they could just say a few nasty things about Starmer and tell a few lies about Angela Rayner and everyone would vote Tory. So pleased it seems to be failing this time.

He is not what we need. He is yet another Liar who cannot be trusted. He has u-turned on everything he has ever said. He is a former member of the trilateral commission. They believe in taking away power from the citizens and giving more power to the leaders.

I’m looking forward to watching the Conservative Party implode & tear itself apart on live TV, starting when the exit poll drops at 10pm on 4th July. The Champagne will be in the fridge, the bingo card will be ready & the 🍿 will be opened.

AmpleFatball · 10/06/2024 18:24

I know you’re obsessed with back doors but could you perhaps take a day or two break from talking out of yours?

Shinyandnew1 · 10/06/2024 18:36

They believe in taking away power from the citizens and giving more power to the leaders.

Sounds exactly like the current Conservative Party.

Anniegetyourgun · 10/06/2024 18:37

I don't think "Keir Starmer is not going to tax £800M off pensions" is quite the gotcha you may think.

quite interesting dancing GIF

Hi Joe!

bozzabollix · 10/06/2024 18:43

The Express? Sort it out.

Hi Joe!

This being Joe would actually make so much sense 😂 If it is, excellent work!

pointythings · 10/06/2024 19:00

Ah, the Express - that well known bastion of political neutrality Grin! And it appears that they have also seen the Labour manifesto, which hasn't yet been published.

But you needn't worry about Labour getting in with a coalition because that isn't going to happen. However, in the unlikely event that it does, that would be a completely legitimate outcome of the democratic process. Coalitions happen when the electorate do not want to give one single party a mandate to govern; they are quite common in many countries across the world. To describe them as 'getting in by the back door' is to fundamentally disrespect democracy, and in this case to disrespect British democracy. Do you oppose democracy?

Churchview · 10/06/2024 19:05

Poor the, Angela Rayner waiting in the winges.

pointythings · 10/06/2024 19:06

Churchview · 10/06/2024 19:05

Poor the, Angela Rayner waiting in the winges.

I'm not sure it's possible to be on the front bench and be waiting in the wings at the same time, but Rayner is very talented so I'm sure she'll manage it.

frankentall · 10/06/2024 19:30

But where are the winges ?

Churchview · 10/06/2024 21:43

frankentall · 10/06/2024 19:30

But where are the winges ?

The winges are accessed via the back door.

C0untBinFace · 10/06/2024 21:45

Too funny 😆

L1ttledrummergirl · 10/06/2024 21:47

I wish the papers would make up their minds- Labour will tax all the pensioners= Labour bad, Labour won't tax all the pensioners= Labour bad.

All before the manifestos been published. Desperate.

frankentall · 10/06/2024 23:44

Well it's pretty simple - most papers, anything Labour does/says = bad (as demanded by our absentee tax-dodging owners who prove how patriotic they are by not paying any UK tax)

DistinguishedSocialCommentator · 11/06/2024 10:26

Hello

I've been telling you all that the only way the Labour lot will get into number 10 is via the back door with a coalition partner/s!!

The press has picked up on my observations!!

Read and weep!!
