Something I've been meaning to ask for ages - how to do a link

When I'm emailing or posting here:

I only know how to cut and paste a website link when I want to direct someone somewhere, which often make them really really long. How do I just do a link that says 'here' for example?

do the brackets around the start opf the website address. BUT leave a space after the address and type 'here' then put the second brackets

paste your web site into the box and putat either end, at the end of the web address leave a gap and then write the word/phrase you want to show like 'here' - like this
