does anyone know about getting videos from camera to pc

done it loads before,. ususaly just plug it in open win dvd and away you go.
but now it is only copying as a music file not a video. so only get sound.
ds says it is to do with it being a MPEG file but ????????

no thing i changed in tools was just for windvd. the drive won't "see" a dvd in any programme.

have you tried turning pc off and back on again?

I am VERY thick. suddenly realised that as it was saved on the external hard drive i could just plug that into the laptop. so please keep your fingers crossed that it will now burn on there.(ds is trying now)

well it didn't work so I need to sort the pc out.........any ideas??

it was the disc. i tried a dvd + and it worked(sadly was a bad disc) but at least all I have to do is buy the right discs and I will be able to do it.

glad you discovered what the problem was, there's nothing worse! and its usually something simple, isn't it?
