Does anyone know any good ones? DH and I live an exciting life and have been trying some brainteasers out on each other. I appear to have run out now but I want some really tricky ones to get him with tomorrow if anyone can help!

Ask them to spell YES
Then ask them to spell YES with an E at the start.
Most people will say E-YES rather than EYES

This riddle is very popular, but is nonetheless very difficult:

A man goes into a restaurant on the sea coast. The restaurant advertises that it has a beautiful view of the ocean over the cliffs. The man goes inside and sits down. When he looks at the menu, he sees that they offer albatross soup, and he orders it. When the soup comes he takes one bite and puts down the spoon. He then leaves the restaurant and goes out to his car without paying. He gets into his car and drives off the cliff into the ocean below, killing himself instantly. Why did he drive off the cliff?

Seven in the immediate family. But if everyone has a brother there are two uncles also.

No it's definietly nine.

The seven you mentione (two parents, one brother and four sisters). Plus two uncles (one brother for the father and one brother for the mother.)

You worded the riddle so that it sounded like you had to count the mum and dad having a brother each too, Peanutbutterlips.

It should've been worded: Mom and Dad have four daughters, and each daughter has one brother. How many people are in the family? Then it would've made sense to come to 7 as the answer.
