Is there a Pot Gang group?

Tried searching for pot gang on here (admittedly very quickly due to a Velcro toddler) and couldn’t find one so I wondered if anyone wanted to chat along each month?

We potted on our courgettes yesterday and I am quite suprised I’ve managed to keep them alive this long! I think it helps we have them on the living room window currently so I see them every day and it reminds me they need water. Maybe when I move them outside they will meet their end.

February was our first box so I don’t have any other jobs to do now other than wait for our March box to arrive.

I didn't know Pot Gang was a thing. Is it all seeds or do they send you plants too? Looks fun (although I'd get those cucamelon seeds into a seed swop the minute they arrive).

I haven't started my courgettes (not pot gang) yet.

I have joined. Courgettes are looking good. I’ve had a message to say this months delivery is on the way.

What’s in your March box @N27?

They send pots seeds compost and instructions and they have videos on YouTube to follow. Its been easy to follow so far for a non gardener like me and my kids :)

Cucamelons, basil and red peppers should be arriving soon. Never heard of cucamelons but apparently they are nice in a gin!

My spring onions are looking very pathetic, hopefully that’s normal at this stage!

Hi, I will join if that is ok! My March box is doing well, the courgettes are enormous already, nearly ready for second potting! Has anyone got their April box yet?

ive repotted my courgettes into the large pots and they’re just starting to form flowers.

spring onions are still looking very sad cbht the tomatoes look promising!

I sowed the march seeds last week - only one red pepper has sprouted so far out of 6 and 3 cucamelons out of 6 so I’m hoping they’re just late starters rather than something I’ve done wrong.

im looking forward to the next box already!

My spring onions are looking exactly the same!! I am only keeping 2 out of three of my red pepper seedlings for space reasons. I felt like a murderer throwing one away 🤦
My next box is apparently being shipped so hoping the weather holds as I pot them all initially outside....

Do you have someone you could donate the seedling to? We have a facebook group to swap seeds and seedlings, there'd likely be someone on there who'd bite your hand off for a seedling!

My spring onions are rubbish. My mum was ill so I went away to look after her. I took a courgette plant for my dad which looks amazing but mine are struggling. My tomatoes are looking good. I only planted the march box at the beginning of this week so not much happening yet.

Bit disappointed. Took weeks to arrive, then arrived with no seeds. They did then post the seeds plus a free gift, but the interest had worn off for me, unfortunately. Too slow, too shabby.

ah that’s a shame. I was disappointed with how long the March boxes took apparently they had a massive surge in demand. Hopefully the next boxes are back on track

I know exactly how you feel! It feels so wrong to waste them doesn’t it!

Has anyone tried any other veg growing subscription services?

I’ve just hern looking at Herboo. DD bought me a lovely gift set of wildflower seeds which I’m going to sew tomorrow. They come with soil discs so sound similar to the potgang?

I did message them asking about delays and it seems demand has just gone crazy. It is a shame as such a good product if they can get it right. Hopefully this will be rectified over the next few weeks. They have said my next box is being shipped so will be interesting to see when it arrives...

Well my April box arrived and I planted it up on the sun this afternoon!!! My spring onions are still looking sad but my cucamelon has gone mad!!

My box has arrived too!!! I will try and do it later. My spring onions are still rubbish. I keep trying with them though x

Love my pot gang! Although bit disappointed with my red peppers and cucamelons, planted over a fortnight ago and nothing has grown yet 😭

Have you sent them a what's app message to ask if you should still wait? I found they were so helpful when I needed a response about a leggy tomato seedling!

Mine too, I planted 6 seeds of each and so far got 4 in each tray but they are still barely a leaf each :(

basil is doing well despite being drowned by an enthusiastic two year old!
