Stone walled dyke

OhioOhioOhio · 04/07/2020 12:19

I'm a lazy gardener with not much time. I have a stone walled Duke I'd like to transform. What can I grow that is colourful in the little gaps in the wall? I like the wild-butterfly garden type look. Any suggestions? The cheaper the better! Thank you.

LegitSnack · 04/07/2020 12:42

I thought this was going to be something else...

Ninkanink · 04/07/2020 12:43

Yes I, too, totally thought this was a whole other thread...

No help on gardening questions I’m afraid!

Claliscool · 04/07/2020 12:43

I for sure thought this was going to be about terf lesbians and ructions at stonewall!

OffTheShelfElf · 04/07/2020 12:44

Mexican fleabane?

WhySoSexist · 04/07/2020 12:47

This thread name has to be intentional to get attention.

RUOKHUN · 04/07/2020 12:54

😂

iklboo · 04/07/2020 12:55

Why in AIBU? I'm not being thread police but you'd get more answers in gardening.

7ofNine · 04/07/2020 12:56

Aubretia
Corsican mint
Phlox
Saxifrage
Basically any alpines

Watch out for that Duke though- he might object Wink

OhioOhioOhio · 04/07/2020 12:57

Have you ever considered putting your finger in the dyke?

Monstamio · 04/07/2020 13:01

I was sure this was going to be about Allison Bailey!

Knittedfairies · 04/07/2020 13:01

OhioOhioOhio · 04/07/2020 13:01

Corydalis lutea, sweet little yellow flowored plant loves growing in walls.
Valerian - spikes of ice-cream colours.
And your own troupe of lesbians, obviously.

@OhioOhioOhio the spelling you’re looking for is dike.

OhioOhioOhio · 04/07/2020 13:42

Nope. Dyke is also the correct spelling. As if it's not bad enough I realise that I've posted this twice. Sorry everyone.

Campanula seems to do well, purple bell shaped flowers.
