Is this willow herb ie a weed ? Please help me identify it !!

I thought willow herb had a pinky red stem? Sorry I realise that doesn't help much.
If probably wait til the flower comes out, much easier to identify then.

That's the budding flower head. I definitely didn't plant it, so must be a stray seed ....

This is mine.
Its got thinner at the top, but the lower leaves are the same as yours.

Ahh... I think it is willow herb weed then. This is a photo from the RHS, looks very similar.

There are quite a lot of willowherbs, it might be one of them. Wait and see - some are very weedy, others quite pretty. Get rid of them before the seed pods open!

It could be a willowherb, it might be something else - that leaf shape isn't that uncommon. I'd let it flower, just to see what it really is.

I’m not sure it’s a willow herb; it could be something like golden rod? They are thuggish and spread easily but also quite pretty?

Looks too many flowers for a willowherb. I think you're going to have to be patient. It still could be golden rod.

Having said it could be golden rod, it isn’t unless some weird variety; these are golden rod flower heads (main plant not in flower).

I can't enlarge it on the iPad, but it looks vaguely Euphorbia-ish.
A flower close up would help.

Looks like an Euphorbia. Perhaps a red one, Fireglow.
