We moved house 6 months ago and I'm trying to work out what's in our garden. I haven't got a clue about plants. So far I've managed to identify a holly tree, some bamboo and irises, and we've had crocuses, hyacinths, bluebells, daffodils and sorrel in a raised bed. And there's an apple tree, a cherry blossom tree and TONNES of ivy as well. After that I'm stumped.

1,2,4 - rhododendrons or azaleas, can't tell how big they are.
3 - astilbe
5 - spiraea
6 - camellia

The first two in the first post are both rhodedendron as is the first pic in your second post.

Third one on the second post is a rather beautiful rose, looks thornless which is a bonus!

Can't remember the names of the other two though I have both in my garden!

WellTidy · 13/06/2017 18:44

I think I can see primulas and a bottlebrush busg. I will keep looking.

NotAPuffin · 13/06/2017 18:44

Top 2 azaleas (or maybe rhododendron I'm crap at telling the difference in pics), primula, hypernicum?, not sure on last one
May be wrong, I'm a bit of a novice gardener

IWillCrushYouLikeABug · 13/06/2017 18:46

Tiger lily at 18:43?

NotAPuffin · 13/06/2017 18:46

Soz my reply prob doesn't make sense, I'm on the app and only saw one pic per post

PencilsInSpace · 13/06/2017 18:50

6 looks like a rose to me.

7 - primula
8 - lavatera

10 - St John's wort possibly

12 - looks like a beech sapling

FrogsLegs31 · 13/06/2017 18:50

Bad week is right, 6- rose not camellia

7- primrose
8- hollyhock or other malvaceae
9- callistemon

NotAPuffin · 13/06/2017 18:50

Thanks everyone! The rhododendron isn't an azalea, apparently an azalea only has 5 stamens and it has 10. I'm loving fluffy red thing : ) (the name, not the plant - it's not really my cup of tea).

Now there's some hope that I can maintain things as they should be!

If you have cats get the orange flower (tigerlily) out asap, it is deadly. One brush with the pollen and bye bye kidneys.

FrogsLegs31 · 13/06/2017 18:54

I think 12 is a hazel sapling 😊

13- escallonia
14- spotted laurel
15- hebe

PencilsInSpace · 13/06/2017 18:56

I love the 3rd one at 18:43:13 and the second one at 18:44:58. Really unusual foliage. I'll be back to see what they are if someone IDs them.

PencilsInSpace · 13/06/2017 18:58

last picture but one is some kind of geranium I think

NotAPuffin · 13/06/2017 18:58

We do have cats. I'll remove that this minute...
