I have just started my own gardening round in stepney green east london .I charge £8.50 is this to much.I do all my work with hand tools no pesticides or chemicals .Usaully ask customers if they have thier own mower .This is because i tend to walk to the jobs or use publictransport

If it's £8.50 a job then I'll even pay your bus fare to Scotland to do mine!

I don't think £8.50 is nearly enough. You need to factor in that you will have to pay tax on anything you earn and that you need insurance I would also advise against using customers own mowers. This is dangerous since you don't know if they've been properly maintained and usually don't have sharpened blades.
