Canapes at party
kebab on way home

don't give them too much wine and then they won't get pissed and get the munchies

No to salmon.

Pickled onions - but got to be Garners or homemade.

Hot homemade garlic bread, brought out later on, would be good. Or teeny tiny baked potatoes with soured cream, chives, chopped red chilli and coriander.

moondog · 13/06/2010 21:44

What's a cray cheese party?

No bought dips.
No bought deep fried Chinese/Thai/Indian things.

Blinis with salomn
Small home made kebabs/satay
Dips-hummus, carrot, blue cheese
Crudites
Bread (no anaemic 'French stick'. Minging.)
Cheese
Fruit
Pickles
I like those peppadews with cheese in them.
Olives
Stuffed vine leaves

bibbitybobbityhat · 13/06/2010 21:44

Olives, bruschetta, grilled peppers.

janeite · 13/06/2010 21:47

A good homemade dip is mashed feta, with lots of black pepper, chopped green chilli, a bit of olive oil and a tiny bit of natural yoghurt to make it just thin enough to scoop onto chunks of toasted pitta.

AlaskaNebraska · 13/06/2010 21:47

Garlic bread good idea. Can do and shove on fridge.

moondog · 13/06/2010 21:50

You don't grill.
Bake until going black.
Cool, then peel.

janeite · 13/06/2010 21:50

Agree that those little peppadew peppers are a good idea.

basically, after a cheese-rich meal, I want picky things with some heat or tanginess about them, after the richness of the cheese.

stleger · 13/06/2010 21:51

Grapes...I love grapes and cheese together.

southeastastra · 13/06/2010 21:51
