I have just started working again, in a food retail enviornement and i have noticed that people of certain races prefer a certain product containing a meat, and i can actually 95% of the time guess exactly what they are going to choose.
ive never really noticed this before and was wondering if it has always been this way or is a new thing, or a random coincidence happening where i work?
am very curious to find any info on this so any input would be great.

I think the op asked a simple question and its been picked apart and she's been jumped on rather unfairly. This is the FOOD section, fgs, not AIBU.

Agree with everything Bucharest said and sniggered muchly at visual image of critters on table being lunged at by hungry DP.

In answer to your question op, IME its less likely there would be a preference, more that there may be a restriction, so maybe you need to offer more choice? eg many fast/caff type foods are pork based eg sausages/sausage rolls/bacon/ham etc etc.

Give the OP a break - I think its a genuine question

Would like to know the specifics though - offering menu ideas sounds something that us lot could come up with...unless of course you work for Greggs in which case we will be ruthless

Dh has a colleague (Irish, Protestant) who is 'averse to the pig in all forms' and prefers mutton to lamb. MIL (Northern Irish, Catholic) is convinced bacon is not pork, so Muslim BIL can eat it. Discuss.

What a bizarre OP
