Dark chocolate. It's far too bitter to be enjoyable. I use it when cooking but I couldn't eat it unless it had a mint cream filling.

Alcohol. I'll cook with it but I can't drink it. It's horrible, no matter if it's wine, beer or vodka.

oh dear

BendyBob · 26/04/2010 12:29

Chick peas. Lovely squished up as hummous but not just in things whole - like hard little hazlenuts.

I agree about bananas - actually quite a lot of fruit. I promote fruit eating with dc and thankfully they like it but I find much of it no big deal on its own

LetThereBeRock · 26/04/2010 13:41

Pesto.It tastes like grass.

NinjaChipmunk · 27/04/2010 09:24

gentlemans relish, even the smell makes me feel ill

realitychick · 27/04/2010 09:31

Prawns - they eat rubbish from the seabed, full of toxins and they are vile to look at. Even being near them makes me feel ill.
Same for all shellfish.

MrsChemist · 27/04/2010 10:15

Ketchup. Blebleble. How anyone can eat the stuff is totally beyond me.

Also, baked beans. Baked beans are banned in this household.

Everyone loves them, but I cannot fathom why.

agree with

Oysters (salty snot)
Caviar (salty grit)
Capers (little balls of vinegar)
Cake (usually dry and disappointing)
Olives (just grim)

love most of the other stuff mentioned though...!

Can I add:

Custard
Rice pudding
Steamed puddings

and anything else that is really just over sweetened stodge. Bleurgh.

MrsChemist · 27/04/2010 10:48

I have a near phobia of ketchup as well. If I touch it, I flip out. The smell makes me gag as well.

Someone at worked mixed it with mayo (equally ble) salt, pepper and vinegar and I was actually a little bit sick in my mouth.

"special" cheeses with dried fruit in them.

Cheese = delicious

Dried fruit = delicious

Cheese that tastes of dried fruit = wrong, wrong wrong!!!!!!

extremelychocolateymilkroll · 27/04/2010 21:52

Asparagus
Okra - vile and slimy
Mussels - tasteless
Lychees - slimy

cranbury · 27/04/2010 22:12

Beetroot - especially pickled, tastes of dirt
Couscous - tastes of sand
Polenta - tastes of wet sand mixed with mud
New potatoes - tastes of dirt

I do remember eating garden soil as a toddler think that must be the problem
