Want something that is really easy to make because I want it now! I've got cake making stuff but I can't be arsed. Got some fruit (pears and bananas) and porridge oats as well. Sure I must have other stuff but not sure what. What can I do?

do you have lemon juice and sugar?

WinkyWinkola · 13/10/2008 20:45

Got fromage frais at all? If so, beat that and the cream together into peaks.

Boil fruit with two tablespoons of sugar. Puree it. Add to the fromage frais and cream with two teaspoons of icing sugar.

Voila. Fruit fool.

harpomarx · 13/10/2008 20:45

sliced bananas, double cream and demerara sugar

girlandboy · 13/10/2008 20:46

Or just a tin of fruit?
Whip the cream.
Eat

do you have a spoon?

just dip the spoon in, then shove in gob !

DonDons · 13/10/2008 20:48

lemon possett

doesn't need to set for 3 hours though (30 mins) IIRC

CharCharBaGOOOOOOORE · 13/10/2008 20:48

Fruit seems so healthy though Fruit and cream would be nice though.

have you got cake ingredients? you could have fairy cakes in 20 mins

125g each flour, butter, sugar
1tsp each vanilla essence, baking powder
2 eggs

put into mixer, blend, add splash milk, put in oven at 180 for 15 minutes

CharCharBaGOOOOOOORE · 13/10/2008 20:57

Hmmm, cake or possett? I'm stuck. Think I may go with the cakes tonight and buy some fresh lemons tomorrow, as mine are a bit tired looking! Can you use sr flour instead of baking powder and flour WWW? As I'm not sure I've got any bp.

I usually use sr AND baking powder but if you didn't I reckon they'd still taste lovely but be flatter, so more like biscuits. This is Nigella's recipe btw, not mine but it's SO quick and easy. If you've got jam you could hve cake and jam and cream.

CharCharBaGOOOOOOORE · 13/10/2008 21:01

Bollocks no eggs That's cakes out.

make the possett... you know you want to....

I've used JIF lemon in the past and it was fine

CharCharBaGOOOOOOORE · 13/10/2008 21:04

You've convinced me DonDons, I'm off to make it now! Will report back when I've tasted it.

Do you have chocolate? Melt it, stir in the cream, eat warm with a spoon or pour into little dishes to set.

ADragonIs4LifeNotJustHalloween · 13/10/2008 21:07

How can you eat something called posset. That's what little babies do [barf]

KatyMac · 13/10/2008 21:08

Or sliced peaches in an oven poof dish
Pour over cream (lightly beaten)
Sprinkle with brown sugar
Toast under the grill

DonDons · 13/10/2008 21:08

posset is gazumped by anything chocolate but the 'c' word was not on the list of ingrediants!

ADragonIs4LifeNotJustHalloween · 13/10/2008 21:12

Chocolate isn't an ingredient it's something no house should be without, surely?
