Black pudding

I'd try most things once.
I've never tried those 99p ready meals like Bolognese and weird pie with instant mash on it.
I've never tried porridge. I just know I don't like it!

Cattenberg · 15/12/2025 22:36

I can't think of anything except for various meat and seafood items. I've been vegetarian for a long time.

I hate most cheeses, so I was surprised to find out a few years ago that I actually like halloumi.

SingtotheCat · 15/12/2025 22:42

Pot noodle
Subway
Oysters
Black pudding

canklesmctacotits · 15/12/2025 22:43

I bet the poster who said mustard has actually consumed it. It’s the base for so many vinaigrettes, and an ingredient in so many main courses, not to mention the base of any hamburger sauces!

I’ve never had KFC or Dominoes, never had jerk chicken because I can smell it’s going to be spicier than I can handle. Never had a vindaloo for the same reason. Never had a savaloy (but have had lots of chips!) or a pickled onion. Never had Bovril, never had port, never had bread sauce.

ScarletWitchM · 15/12/2025 22:45

Spam, corned beef, dairylea, oysters, instant mash, tinned pies

giveyourselfapresent · 15/12/2025 23:43

Most fruit. The only fruit I've eaten are apples and grapes (and a failed attempt to eat prunes once when I was constipated after giving birth. I really really tried, but the feel of them in my mouth and chewing them made me gag😭)

Lots of desserts, like cheesecake, trifle, anything cold and squishy leaves me, well, cold.

I don't think I've ever eaten yoghurt for the same reason.

I had a very self-limited diet as a child and then branched out and tried a lot of new things when I went to university. I like a lot more foods now, just as long as they're not cold and squishy or slimy. I eat meat and fish and most vegetables.

My exDH used to feed his dogs tripe straight from the abattoir, just rinsed out with a hose. I used to insist when this was on the menu they were fed outside. The dogs absolutely loved it. 🤮

gillybombilly · 16/12/2025 14:18

Prawns
Coffee
Cheese

Oh dogs go mad for it.....way we see it, the parents are more often than not away on holiday for nice food and cocktails so dogs deserve the same.

Crikeyalmighty · 16/12/2025 18:02

I can't believe some people have never eaten cheese or tomatoes! Perhaps from other countries? E.g neither of those are used in Chinese food.

Nope, I’m English but can’t bear the smell or texture of Cheese so therefore dont want to taste it.

Loveatortie · 21/12/2025 01:10

Celeriac, fennel or pickled eggs. I would give them a go if someone gave me them but not really prepared to buy them or cook it myself.
If you don't try something you never know if if you like it or not 🤔
I've certainly found out what i don't like.

chocolateychurros · 21/12/2025 01:11

Turnip

ProfessorBinturong · 21/12/2025 01:35

As a near-lifelong vegetarian, loads of things.

Foods I could eat but haven’t: brown sauce. No particular reason - it doesn't seem worth buying a bottle when I'm not sure if I'd like it, and on the rare occasions I eat somewhere that has it on the table I forget to give it a try.

Words · 21/12/2025 10:40

Celeriac and fennel are both aniseed flavoured so maybe that is putting you off @Loveatortie ? I am not a fan of aniseed, although I have tried to educate my palate it just doesn't work.

Pickled eggs, ditto walnuts are delicious.

ilovepixie · 21/12/2025 10:44

Hummus
Olives
Shellfish
blue cheese
brown sauce
