Best Supermarket Sausages?

Made a Sausage Casserole yesterday with Tesco Pork Sausages, very disappointed in the overall quality.

What supermarket sausage do you consider full of flavour and not cheap tasting please?

Sainsburys TTD, Tesco finest

Sainsbury's. With caramelised onion or the meaty one which has a higher proportion of pork. The one with herbs (either Lincolnshire or Cumberland) tastes awful, very chemical taste. Or at least it used too - I stopped buying that one years ago.

I should have got Finest but I was shopping online and didn’t think.

Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference ones are all lovely, we like the Lincolnshire ones.

M & S, they’re the only ones I will eat now.

Co-op are our favourite - particularly caramelised onion

These are really good when I can get to a Food Hall. I think I just told myself there wouldn’t be much difference in the quality with Tesco and there really was

Anything made by The Jolly Hog. Usually available in supermarkets (not Lidl or Aldi I think).

I just had their "leek porkers" this week and they were some of the best I've had in years.

Not for a casserole but Lidls chicken chipolatas are gorgeous.

Look for the highest meat content, whatever shop you get them from.
My fave is Sainsbo 98% pork.

Black Farmer are my favourites. My local Tesco has them

Porky Whites are good. I buy them in Asda.

My OH loves the Asda Exceptional classic pork ones, the ones that come in a pack of 10.

M&S are the best but Jolly Hog are also really good.

Morrisons The Best pork sausages are really tasty. My favourite though are Costco ones when I can be bothered to go!

Tesco finest would be our go to , I prefer them to the M&S ones

M&s , Waitrose kick number1 Cumberland and a few of the higher range independents , jolly hog, black farmer etc

Jolly Hog, they still have proper casings instead of the vile alginate muck that so many use instead. I used to prefer Finnebrogues Naked range because they don’t use nitrites, but even they had changed the casings.

I bought Lidl Deluxe Toulouse sausages, high meat content and have garlic and red wine in them. I thought they were really nice and am having them again today. I usually buy Lincolnshire sausages from either Lidl or Aldi and find them nicer than some of the bigger brands.

Occasionally I buy Jolly Hogg or Porky Whites and if in the local small town, the butchers sausages as they are nice too.

The only ones I wasn't that impressed with were Morrisons and Waitrose plain pork sausages.

Aldi pork and apple are our favourites. Never let us down, delicious.
