Thermomix recipe recommendations!

FollowIng a general chat about the Thermomix, thought it would be interesting to share some of our favourite recipes from Cookidoo or share other ways we have used our Thermomix to create tasty meals!

My personal favourites are the soups, and the two I always go back to is the Irish Potato Soup (basically creamy bacon and potato soup) or the Pea and Mint soup. Both absolutely delicious!

Have also found a few lovely sauces that I have difficulty making myself on the hob. The mushroom and white wine sauce is great for rice or pasta dishes.

Would love to hear any more of your Thermomix tried and tested recipes!

That's exciting as I've never tried that soup! I do use the smooth versatile soup a lot as it is so flexible in its ingredients. Tonight we had the butternut squash and coconut soup and the DC asked for more.
Have you tried the Persian flatbreads? I like that it makes 4 small flatbreads as I put nigella seeds, sesame seeds, caraway seeds and dried herbs on them and everyone loves trying the different ones - and so easy.

SunMootStars · 26/06/2025 22:42

oh nice! Haven’t tried those flatbreads but they sound lovely, will give them a try over the weekend

Thank you for this thread - I’m in!

I love thermie soups - especially the pea and mint soup - though my current favourite is my leek and potato!

I always use either my homemade thermie bone broth or thermie stock cubes for the liquid element!

If you like spicy food I highly recommend skinnymixer recipes - particularly their lentil Dahl. I have also adapted their butter chicken curry (it’s now my no butter chicken curry 😉)!

Schoolrefusa · 26/06/2025 23:04

Hermiaxx I have heard of skinnymixer recipes but how do you load them or do you just follow them from a phone screen? Or are some on cookidoo ? I've wondered this for a while !
I felt so healthy whenever had the broccoli salad below but made it too many times so I wish I knew how to make equally good variants of it!

Check out this delicious recipe I found on Cookidoo®: Broccoli Salad with Red Peppers and Pine Nuts

I’m a complete freestyler! Skinnymixer recipes are easy to follow but I always write a recipe down (I have two books - one for trials and if passes muster it makes it to my to the other book!). I’ve never liked using Cookidoo (I think because of the many substitutions I have to make!).

I like quite a few Aussie sites including the aus thermomix recipe community!

Am going to try the flatbreads (I think vegan yogurt will work 🤞)

LadyCassandra · 27/06/2025 00:51

The Skinnymixers Butter Chicken is really really good.
On Cookidoo, katsu chicken curry, creamy sun-dried tomato chicken pasta and the Apple and carrot cake are standard weekly things I make.

This is a favourite in our house although I do cook the pasta separately. We are a family of 4 but 2 small kids so thus recipe does us for 2 dinners (I freeze half but I don't like freezing it with the Pasta).

The chilli is also a really good one.

Also nice for a get together are the Parmesan shortbread (cookidoo)

Schoolrefusa · 27/06/2025 20:11

Thank you all for these ideas. I am going to try the vegetarian chilli tomorrow as it couldn't be better timing for a new idea as we have a friend coming over.
today I made chocolate hazelnut spread for the first time which was easy as I had the oven on anyway for homemade pizza (the hazelnuts needed 10 mins to roast ). I then made my teen a chocolate mug microwave cake by adding 80g of it to an egg with 2 tablespoons of GF self raising flour and she was thrilled!!
I didn't make much else today as we had a salad-y lunch

flatwhiteinabucket · 27/06/2025 20:34

Is this a plug to sell some TM6s before they become obsolete 😂

Interesting there was a thermomix zoo today, and this pops up.....

Schoolrefusa · 27/06/2025 22:14

What's a thermomix zoo? There was another thread someone had about getting one which made some of us realise there were other enthusiasts . I would think it's quite normal to share recipes without needing to be a sales person! I certainly would not be tempted to sell them . Ps I have a tm6 and doubt they'll be obsolete but I have no idea.

What's a Thermomix zoo?

I've ordered a TM7 and can't wait.

MrsKypp · 28/06/2025 13:04

This thread is brilliant let's keep it going!

I haven't got my Thermomix yet but am noting down the recommendations here.

The demo food we had was delicious: lentil and tomato soup, cheese scones and broccoli salad.

SparklyBrickViper · 28/06/2025 13:40

This on a cheese board is amazing -

Check out this delicious recipe I found on Cookidoo®: Black garlic and onion jam

I also use the Portuguese Water Bread recipe a lot.

This jam recipe is also a go to -

I make the butter chicken with yogurt instead of cream.

SunMootStars · 28/06/2025 19:14

Thank you for all the recipes- bookmarking them here to try!

I'm so pleased with these lovely new ideas and already had great success trying the vegetarian chilli thanks to this thread - whole family said how good it was ! I had so many cherry tomatoes from our local market to use up and it still worked so well with those instead of a tin of tomatoes .

Schoolrefusa · 30/06/2025 23:05

Ps have you all tried the lemonade ? Very good in this weather . We sometimes use limes for a change too which is delicious too.

Carrie76 · 30/06/2025 23:17

Great thread, love to get some new ideas. Some of my favourites are the 5 second traffic light salad, soda bread, sun dried tomato tapenade and the salted chocolate caramel fudge is to die for!
Butternut squash and coconut soup is yum too, I bag the chopped frozen bags of squash.

Schoolrefusa · 01/07/2025 04:34

Carrie76 we made that soup last week and loved it but I didn't think of frozen squash, what a good idea. We also regularly make a very good version on Cookidoo with Chinese Five spice in it but so far I've only found it in French . Our DC love this one.

I tried several times to add a link but must be doing it wrong !

alwayscrashinginthesamecar1 · 01/07/2025 05:16

Please can I have the link to the black garlic jam? I can't find it on Cookidoo.
Thanks for the soup inspo, I have eaten myself sick of Hug In a Mug chicken soup!

I have too many favourite recipes, but my latest discovery is
