You can only eat them if you live in London

Oh God, I love posh cupcakes. The most I stretch to, though, is 'add an egg and some water' Thomas the Tank engine ones.

OverMyDeadBody · 08/06/2008 16:35

oh I disagree cod, it's the frosting that makes an otherwise dry boring cake into a fabulous cupcake.

Especially cream cheese frosting.

But not butter icing

Ever since the girlie tea party thread i have been thinking about cup-cakes.

I made lovely Chocolate ones this weeks, using green & blacks cocoa powder (it's the best).

Must agree cup-cakes are the best, and are far superior to fairy cakes.

4oz flour
4oz caster sugar
4oz ?
2 eggs

GreatGooglyMoogly · 08/06/2008 17:32

butter!

Nbg · 08/06/2008 17:35

Yes, that would make sense

I'm by no means a baker.
Normal food I can do, baking I cannot.

QueenBhannae · 08/06/2008 19:14

Ive just made cupcakes (in the oven now) with buttercream and cream cheese toppings to go on them (about 36!)
The proof is in the eating, mind

Love2bake · 08/06/2008 19:28

They sound yummy. Is the topping literally just butter, icing sugar and cream cheese?

QueenBhannae · 08/06/2008 20:09

sorry been busy eating them
made two toppings is what i meant.

buttercream-butter egg and sugar

cream cheese topping-cream cheese, butter, icing sugar and vanilla extract.

misdee · 08/06/2008 20:13
