What meals can I make with sausages?

I have some sausages in the fridge and need some inspiration other than sausage and mash/chips sausage casserole, sausage pasta, fry up, toad in the hole. It’s for 4.

Sausage tray bake?

I was going to say sausage casserole but how about just a fry-up or hot dogs?

Dp does a sausage casserole with butter beans, a tin of passata and some chorizo which is tasty.

So some sort of casserole would work amd makes a change from the norm.

In apitta bread with fried onions

Sausage egg fried rice
Sausage pesto pasta

Sausage meatballs with spaghetti

Sausages and braised puy lentils

Was ready to post Jools pregnant pasta before I I read the full thread. So I suggest sausage rolls/plait or Italian sausage and peppers instead.

Had a flatmate who made a great sausage dish when we were students

fried up bits of sausage with chopped leeks and onions. Into a baking tray then sliced potato on top. Pour over cheese sauce, bake 30 mins.

Think it was called “sausage and leek supper” but was delicious and I still make it from time to time (not very healthy!!)

Hot dogs.

Google Jamie Oliver proper blokes sausage fusilli. It's a go to for us.

Gousto have a recipe for Spanish Style Sausage Salad which is quite tasty.

Strip the skins off, mix the sausage meat with some crushed garlic or chopped parsley, and stuff some red& yellow peppers with the sausage mix.

Bake for 45 mins and serve with garlic bread 😋

I make a lovely sausage and cider casserole type thing that’s a winner with my DCs.

Just a ton of finely diced veg (carrots, celery, onions, leeks etc), a bit of chicken stock, sage (fresh is best) and a bottle of dry cider cooked low and slow in the oven 😍

Sausage & lentils, not sure if that’s a casserole or not?

Sausage broccoli pasta this but add tomato puree and cream - delicious

I was just about to suggest sausage surprise but I don’t get the eastenders reference?

De-skin make meatballs, cook with onions, peppers, garlic, throw in some orzo stock and passata or tinned tomatoes, salt, pepper with some dried herbs, slices of mozzarella on top bung in the oven for twenty minutes or so, serve with salad/garlic bread

You can remove the skins and use the sausage meat to make asian meatballs - mix it up with ginger, garlic, chilli, turneric, coriander etc - pan fry
Serve tossed through some rice noodles..and lots of fresh veg and a zingy limey asian dressing

I also second sausage and cider casserole with leeks and carrots, roast parsnips on the side, green veg and mash or jackets
Or a more tomato based casserole with garlic onions, chopped tomatoes, smoked paprika, butter beans, lovely with crusty bread

Marry me sausages?

Sausage & apple works well
peel and chop a couple of apples and a bit of onion/shallot
fry sausages until browned (but not cooked)
turn down heat and add chopped onion and apple
put a lid on and leave till apple is soft and golden and sausages are cooked
if you wish: add cider and reduce down, and/or cream, to make more of a sauce. both lovely but not needed
(With mash or baked potato or bread)

Sausage and courgette risotto is lovely.

Sausage, sweet potato, red pepper and red onion traybake, seasoned with smoked paprika is also great and has a good bunch of vegs in it.

Savoy cabbage and sausage bake is also delicious and very comforting. Cooking the cabbage with the sausage completely transforms it.
