It's super expensive but is it worth it. Looks like there are loads of versions.
Lidl has a version launching on Saturday for four quid, Worth a punt or overhyped?
Have you tried it what do you think?

What makes it so expensive though? It's nuts! Or it's pistachio. It doesn't even look very appetising either!

Pistachio flavoured things seem to be absolutely everywhere at the moment, but I prefer pistachios as they are, not in my tiramisu, coffee, chocolate or anything else!

I got a small bar which was only £3. It was pretty meh tbh. I’m not a massive chocolate fan usually anyway but the inside felt like crunching on shredded wheat and I didn’t like the texture of that alongside the chocolate.

Hoplolly · 28/03/2025 18:20

Lindt have started doing one, a small bar for £10, it's bonkers.

InfoSecInTheCity · 28/03/2025 18:26

I haven’t, but not a massive fan of pistachios so doesn’t appeal. It’s just a chocolate shell filled with pistachio flavoured cream and crispy stuff, the concept is the same as loads of other chocolate bars nothing revolutionary. Cadbury have been doing the &More bars filled with hazelnut praline or Caramel &nuts for ages and every range has something similar.

firkinn · 28/03/2025 18:28

I really like the Laderach version, but it is spenny.

zzplec · 28/03/2025 19:12

Can you taste the pistachios? I like them but find I can't taste them if they're an ingredient in something, except maybe pistachio ice cream. I've always been disappointed with anything else supposedly pistachio flavoured.

CrazyCatMam · 28/03/2025 19:12

Yes, it was shite.

JMSA · 28/03/2025 19:13

I have and I liked it. But it did weirdly taste of cornflakes!

TooBigForMyBoots · 28/03/2025 19:14

Yes. I did not like it.

soupyspoon · 28/03/2025 19:15

I find lidl stuff to be better than the branded or other posh products particularly chocolate so theirs will probably be really good

CrazyCatMam · 28/03/2025 19:18

The crispy stringy bits tasted like shreddies.

TidyDancer · 28/03/2025 19:19

The sweet shop near me has a bar of it on sale for £12.99. They can keep it for that price! I’m curious to try it because of the hype but not enough to spend stupid money on it!

Imicola · 28/03/2025 19:30

Ha. I had never heard of this before, but when transiting through Dubai airport recently I picked up some pistachio chocolate for DH as he loves pistachios and I always forget to get him a gift when travelling! Rather shocking price, which was not clear before I picked it...It was nice, but not THAT nice.

Edit to add... I had never heard of Dubai chocolate until reading this post, but that is clearly what I bought.

No, i couldn't taste the pistachio

Beyondburnout · 28/03/2025 22:17

F me hive mind. I don't think I'll be shelling out ££££££ for chocolate that tastes like sheddies or cornflakes. I'll rake a punt on the lidl version, but will probably be sold out. 10 quiz for the lindt version is crackers.

I’ve had the Lindt version. It was nice but nowhere near worth £10! It reminded me of a kinder bueno.

VanillaImpulse · 30/03/2025 00:16

I got the Lidl one from their TikTok shop last week when they released it there first. Sold out really quickly. It’s quite nice but no way I’d pay a tenner for it. I also tried some of the genuine choc from Dubai but preferred Lidl’s version.

curious79 · 30/03/2025 00:24

I have tried two. One from a local chocolatier - total heaven!!! One from the local shop - a Turkish brand. Was ok
