What food do you have Boxing Day ? I'm a bit lost shopping wise

Christmas Day leftovers, meat sandwiches, cheese, chocolate and lots of booze. I thought this was the norm?

This year it's a turkey roast as we're having something different Christmas Day (between visitors and running around I basically couldn't be bothered- as Boxing Day is quieter that's when I decided to do the roast) So the 27th will be bubble and squeak, cold Turkey, pickles, coleslaw, followed by cheese, crackers, chutney, and Pringles and chocolate. Oh and lots of alcohol .

We dont eat meat so I usually cook loads of veg on Christmas day and then have bubble and squeak boxing day.

Boxing day buffet.

Buffet of all the delicious party food!

We cook a joint of gammon and beef and have that cold with any left over turkey,m with chips and pickles. The kids have beans because they don't like pickles!
Then in the evening, cheese and crackers, prawn ring, sausage rolls and nibbles. Lovely!

We have the turkey dinner again (as was the norm when I grew up) but I make fresh veg and garlic spuds

We eat cold meats (turkey, beef, gammon), bubble and squeak from leftover veg, chips, pickles and chutney. Think I love boxing day meal more than Christmas day meal!

My father tells me that we're getting salmon, boiled potatoes and non-festive vegetables. And we'll have the Christmas pudding that we never get round to eating on Christmas Day.

When I used to host, Boxing Day was the big event usually with a minimum of 12.

Nowadays, probably Cold meat, pickle and salad with my frail and very elderly mother and step with DD. DH will be with his very frail mother at the opposite end of the country.

We’re making a Rick stein duck pie as having the in laws over. Followed by chocolate and hazelnut semifreido (both made by DH). Plus cheese board. Party food in evening as they’ll have gone home by then
