Why do they even put cherry yoghurts in multipacks?

I am so sick of having a sad collection of single yoghurts that no one likes, discarded from multipacks. It's either strawberry, UPF or multis. Who even likes black cherry?!

The responses make me think we need a multipack swap zone in supermarkets.

As we're on tiers, yoghurts in this house:

Peach, mango, apricot, passion fruit: top tier
Strawberry: standard fare
Raspberry, cherry: left to rot tier

Cherry yoghurts taste nothing like actual cherries.

Your tiers are pretty much opposite to our house!

I agree with you OP.

If I'm having a bad day I choose the cherry yoghurt so it doesn't spoil a good day 😂

RappersNeedChapstick · 08/07/2024 20:27

DH loves a cherry yoghirt. I sometimes buy him one as a treat he likes them so much Wink

Tarkan · 08/07/2024 20:32

I haven't had fruit yogurt in ages because I got fed up of having to check labels for sweeteners so switched to just fresh fruit and natural yogurt. It's not quite the same though.

Cherry was definitely my favourite though. I also liked mandarin and banana flavours but they were definitely harder to find. Apricot is my least favourite followed by peach despite peaches being one of my favourite fruits.

APurpleSquirrel · 08/07/2024 20:41

@StiffyByngsDogBartholomew YES! 😮 I'll be heading to Morrisons asap!

Peonies12 · 08/07/2024 20:43

Save yourself a lot of money and plastic, And buy a big pot of natural yoghurt and add your fruit. All flavoured yoghurts are UPFs

littlegrebe · 08/07/2024 20:44

It's the only way they can get rid of it, when the yoghurt robot malfunctions and churns out a load of inedible gloop.

Borborygmus · 08/07/2024 20:44

I agree, the black cherry ones are disgusting.

Lovemusic82 · 08/07/2024 20:45

Why don’t they do banana ski yoghurts anymore? (Childhood favourite)

I like Cherry, mango is DD’s favourite.

Justrolledmyeyesoutloud · 08/07/2024 20:45

I agree op, hate cherry yogurts

BlowDryRat · 08/07/2024 20:45

Sometimes I have a fit of virtue and buy a big pot of natural yoghurt to mix up, but a) it's a faff to do lunch boxes, b) it doesn't taste the same, and c) I can't be bothered.

Salted caramel or fudge flavour for me! Not very healthy, I know.....

JiggleMeTimbers · 08/07/2024 20:51

My lot go mad for the cherry ones. DH loved the peach or mango. Blueberry is popular. Raspberry and strawberry get eaten reluctantly.
I can't stand any of them.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 08/07/2024 20:54

Back in the late 1970s I had a Saturday job in self-service restaurant and we were allowed to take some of the stock for our lunch. I always picked out an open sandwich with pate and a Ski yoghourt, pineapple flavour. We never had yoghourt at home so it was a big treat. Not sure if Ski yoghourts even exist any more. I haven't had a pineapple yoghourt in decades.

Tisfortired · 08/07/2024 20:55

DP loves the cherry ones, and the citrus ones 🤢

I go for peach, strawberry and raspberry.

My mums favourite is Langley Farm hazelnut yoghurt 🤢

caringcarer · 08/07/2024 20:59

I hate black cherry. It always reminds me of medicine I was given as a premed when I was 8 before an operation. I like strawberry best, then raspberry.

JiggleMeTimbers · 08/07/2024 21:58

My mums favourite is Langley Farm hazelnut yoghurt 🤢

I haven't thought about that for years! My Mum always used to eat it when she was on a diet.

SusSis · 08/07/2024 22:03

I'm fussy but love black cherry yoghurt. Ditto black cherry jam.

Ski yogurts were lovely in the 70s. Remember them being quite tart and not overly sweet (a bit like Longley farm nowadays).
Loved the pineapple!

BobbyBiscuits · 08/07/2024 22:09

I love black cherry! Hazelnut is my favourite though. I hate peach/apricot yoghurt for some reason.

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 08/07/2024 22:13

I love them all,
I lick the lids,
I spoon the tubs,
I chew the cardboard outer.

Beaverbridge · 08/07/2024 22:15

Cherry yoghurt are absolute filth.

Longma · 08/07/2024 22:25

I like black cherry yogurt.
I don't like nut based ones, or chocolatey ones. And I really dislike pretty much all raspberry flavoured foods, including actual raspberries.

Cheesetoastiees · 08/07/2024 22:49

The worst and most boring flavour of them all is Blueberry. Cherry is the best!

If you're talking about Mullerlights, raspberry is the gross one.

Tbh , all mullerlights are pretty awful. One nice yogurt a week May have the same calories as a Mullerlight everyday, but I'd prefer a moment of joy every week than a daily disappointment.
