Hello, can anyone help here please ? I’m not wanting to make it myself and I don’t like the ‘long life’ ones In the jar. Just looking for a tub like the fresh dips (soured cream etc) apparently Tesco sell it but no there are no reviews since 2019
i have access to all supermarkets except Morrisons
thanks in advance 🥒

I dont think I've seen it fresh how you describe. Can you buy a tub from the takeaway? You won't get fresher or nicer

Thelastofbus · 26/04/2023 21:29

I don’t think it takes much longer to make
than it does to open a tub!

BIWI · 26/04/2023 21:30

Why not make it yourself? It's really not hard!

M&S do an Indian style dip selection - it's got three tubs in and I'm sure one is raita!

Helloumi · 26/04/2023 21:34

Just don't buy Asda's one it was like jelly Envy

Yes they do, however one is sugar laden mango chutney and the other is some kind of pico de gallo hybrid and I’d just Chuck them, but the raita is lovely but such a tiny container, thank you for your suggestion

I buy Tzatziki instead, its so similar to raita and more readily available in the fridge of most supermarkets

hartof · 26/04/2023 21:37

Morrisons sell it in their fridge section with tapas bits

dietcokelime · 26/04/2023 21:37

@TwoMonthsOff

If you feel sneaky, swap it so you get three pots of raita? 😂

What an absolutely shit thing to do to another customer who might not notice before buying it.

Oh that’s so funny …..imagine the shame of being ‘arrested’ in the way out 😭 I’m too old to live life on the edge and I’d feel sorry for the people who ended up without the only decent dip

M&S do

CorvusPurpureus · 26/04/2023 21:41

Ok, you don't want to make it but...

I chopped up a couple of cucumbers, some mint & mixed in a bowl with natural yogurt today.

It took seconds.

Seems an odd 'I will not make this!' hill to die on.

If it was homemade pakoras or mayonnaise or bouillabaisse or lemon meringue pie then fair play to you...but minty cucumbery yogurt?

TwoMonthsOff · 26/04/2023 21:41

@PuffinPuffinPenguin same here - see my reply, but tbh I think it was a light hearted remark

Two cucumbers ? I rest my case 🥒

Hedonism · 26/04/2023 21:42

I just mix a bit of mint sauce from a jar into some plain yoghurt. Chop in a bit of cucumber if you're feeling fancy. No waste, the mint sauce can sit in the back of the fridge until next time.

Idratherbepaddleboarding · 26/04/2023 21:44

I’ve never had it with cucumber but it’s so easy to make with mint sauce and natural yoghurt!

dietcokelime · 26/04/2023 21:46

@PuffinPuffinPenguin

If you want I can get two packs of paracetamol and swap them for chill pills for you? 😂 it was clearly said as a joke! M&S has rules you know, it's not Morrisons.

That’s what I do too.

They were very small 🥒 if that helps - we live in the ME.

Did you mean more the vinegary green minty thin yogurt sauce you get in UK takeaways with your bhajis?

Also delicious, but I imagine easy to knock up.
