Cod in puttanesca sauce for me (low carbing), homemade pizza for the others.

After a freezer dive - chicken Kyiv, cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes and broccoli/ peas.
Only two chicken Kyiv between 3 so padding it out while emptying the freezer.

Mac and cheese - with broccoli and bacon in for the kids, and bacon, roasted cauliflower and blue cheese for us

Baked camembert with honey, garlic bread and some breadsticks, rice pudding with warm jam for after.

Sausage and bean casserole with new potatoes and veg.

I wish I were eating at your houses.

Left over homemade chicken chow mein from last night with a large glass of wine for me. Kids having burgers and chips. Partner working away and has ordered himself broccoli soup and spag bol with a pint of beer for his dinner. Im only jealous as he gets his handed to him.

Should not have read this thread as it’s not making me want my defrosted bolognaise 😩 After a day of looking after two poorly kids I’m craving pizza but am dieting and trying to be a bit frugal so probably shouldn’t cave. Unfortunately despite best intentions I never really fancy the batch-cooked meals I prep when I’m feeling more virtuous. Sigh.

@Minibea could you top with fresh basil and a dusting of parmigiano reggiano? Not much effort or calories (you mention diet) but would add vibrancy and luxury?

We had slow cooker beef stew, cheesey mash and broccoli with hot dinner rolls and butter. Immense.

Cottage pie with tenderstem broccoli and carrots, made the mince a few weeks ago and froze the extra batch just made mash and now it's in the oven

Have just eaten my pasta. It was amazing, I ate like 500g of it I swear. Am now contemplating making a mug cake or getting dh to make one as I have flu .

Haggis with neeps, carrots, tattles, cabbage and buttery mash. Onion gravy and, weirdly, champagne left over from my birthday.

Chicken souvlaki with pitta, tzatziki, tomatoes, cucumber, watermelon & feta. I put it on to marinade on tuesday so it only took 20 minutes tonight to cook the chicken while I cut up everything else.

Fast day today so just a small banana.

Some of the meals everyone has posted sound delicious though.

I think there are differences in the concentration of paste and purée but I use them interchangeably.

I'm in bed feeling absolutely dreadful with a cold. DH away. Just had my Tea in bed Paracetamol 1g, Iburofen 400mg and 100g Roast topside of beef from the packet. My skin tingles every time I move. I am desperate for a hot drink but cannot bear to move.

@SummaLuvin YES to liberal sprinkling of parmigiana! That, coupled with a forgotten about bottle of Cote du Rhone to wash down the spag Bol actually really hit the spot!
