My favourite topping is Grated apple, sprinkle of cinnamon, drizzled with golden syrup and then seeds and nuts on top. In fact i think I got it from here a few years ago.

I soak oats in coconut water with chia seeds - can do overnight but often just for 20 mins. It’s really nice with berries and plain yoghurt and maybe a few nuts.

TizzLush · 14/10/2022 00:14

Porridge made with milk, add butter and brown sugar on top, splash of milk to cool it down

nocoolnamesleft · 14/10/2022 00:15

Make it with nut milk (my favourite is hazelnut, when you can get it), with a dash of maple syrup, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and a scattering of raisins.

twotoedsloth · 14/10/2022 00:15

Banana (cooked in with it) and a drizzle of cream on top. Preferably jumbo oats - so much better than the normal ones.

Gingersay · 14/10/2022 00:16

Greek yogurt and honey mixed in.

Tigofigo · 14/10/2022 00:17

Peanut butter. Banana. Maple syrup. Maybe a tiny pinch of cinnamon.

Thank me later.

ErrolTheDragon · 14/10/2022 00:27

Oats and apple pancakes. 1.5oz oats, stewed/softened apple, 2 eggs. Serve with yogurt or maple syrup. They are delicious and so filling.

Big lump of peanut butter, dash of maple syrup. Sticks to your ribs!

IStandWithMaya · 14/10/2022 09:41

Frozen berries cooked in the porridge. Don't stir whilst it's cooking.

My favourite topping is Grated apple, sprinkle of cinnamon, drizzled with golden syrup and then seeds and nuts on top. In fact i think I got it from here a few years ago.

I've just eaten this almost exactly with some sliced banana. And a huge mug of freshly stove brewed coffee.

Lovely

I used to love overnight oats especially as they are so easy and no pans to wash but weirdly - TMI alert

it seemed to trigger IBS. Apparently it's something to do with oats being raw.

paintyhands · 14/10/2022 09:47

Fresh berries, dollop of almond butter, drizzle of maple syrup, sprinkling of mixed seeds.

herewegoagainst · 14/10/2022 09:50

Weekdays when I'm in a rush I put a handful of whatever cereal is in the cupboard on top of cooked porridge! Cheerios work well for a bit of sweetness and crunch.
Weekends with a bit more time I'll go for a banana and maybe even cook the porridge on the hob rather than in the microwave!

OhGingleBells · 14/10/2022 09:55

Big spoonful of brandy butter! Probably the least healthy option - but very tasty…
