Just that really. They're not cheap and although I'm very interested in the idea, I wonder if I'm going to be disappointed.
If you didn't like yours, why not?

I bought mine because everyone said the chips were amazing.
Well, they were. Amazingly awful.
I tried several times and they were terrible.

I am referring to real chips - not stupid oven chips! Air fryers do not seem capable of making them like my deep fat fryer can.

So anyway - I washed it carefully and sent it back to Amazon and got my money back.

And went back to making reliable chips in the deep fat fryer.

I've got a Ninja Speedi. It's a genius piece of kit, incredibly versatile, does everything it claims to and more, and my electricity use has plummeted. It cooks most things in about half the time, entire meals included.

I don't like it. I bought it when my cooker died, so it literally is replacing the whole thing - and it does it well. I just get annoyed with having to figure out - or ask the Facebook group - the best way to get things done right in a 20cm cube.

I think I just resent the thinking involved; I'm a "try a bit of this, chuck a pan of that on" type of cook but now everything's in a closed box with timers! You can also use it like a pan on a hob, but then you don't get to roast/bake/grill anything at the same time. Planning is required.

All that said, I'm about to make my Christmas cake and am more confident than usual because the Speedi is also a steam oven, and heavy cakes love a steam bake!
