What's for tea?

We are being highly original and having BBQ'd hotdogs in the garden. DD has requested BBQ'd halloumi. I might even through some salad in a bowl if I can be motivated.

What's everyone else having?

Sardines cooked in lots of olive oil, garlic, lemon and herbs with butter bean mash and salad. Love sardines and they’re sooo cheap!

It was meant to be toad in the hole but it’s too warm so I’m doing burgers.

Chicken salad, then peaches and ice cream.

Tricolore salad with burrata instead of mozzarella with pesto dressing.

Smokey earl grey and a slice of Victoria sponge

Hmm I’ve never considered sardines! Fresh or tinned??

Fresh and I’m sure they’d be even better barbecued.

I've got covid so I've shoved a chicken in the slow cooker. If I'm feeling up for it I'll do the trimmings that go with a roast (I'm veggie so won't eat the chicken). I've cauliflower cheese in the freezer I'll have as my main. I was going to make a nut roast but can't face it!

If I don't feel up to it dh will do mash and veg which he gets in from work

Chicken salad with freshly baked (read part-baked & finished in the oven) multi-grain baguettes and Lurpak 😄.

Dh is the cook of the house but is unwell so I’m designated cook today 🥴
I hate cooking but am also crap at it which doesn’t help things!
I’m going to do a pasta dish which dd2 loves, it has pancetta, mint, peas, loads of garlic and shallots, mascarpone, lemon etc, it’s really nice and very very easy which is the important part 😂
might turn a baguette in the cupboard into a garlic bread…

Cheese on toast

Chicken breasts marinated in Nandos sauce done on the BBQ, served in ciabatta with salad.

You can definitely cook if you can do that TheChosen! I know adults who can only Mackenzie a sandwich.

I've got butterflied chicken breasts marinating in yoghurt and Nigella seeds in the fridge. They will get put on the bbq and served with a turmeric, green bean, mango and wild rice salad and a mixed green salad. Minimal effort or heat cooking!

King prawns cooked in garlic butter with chunks of baguette, and salad. And strawberries and cream.

Fajitas and margaritas!

Yeah @PritiPatelsMaker I can cobble something together but when it’s down to me it really will be the absolute bare minimum!
dh cooks every night (usually!) and it always involved some kind of homemade bread, makes his own mayonnaise, just pays lots of attention to the little details and literally spends 3+ hours to make dinner - I like to cook, eat and be cleaned up in half an hour max 😂 I just hate the whole process whereas he finds it all very relaxing. Weirdo!

Cheese and chutney panini, lattice fries and salad.

We've ended up with a lot of eggs and a head of broccoli which all need using up, so broccoli frittata and a salad of odds and ends from the fridge. Garlic bread alongside that I got as a flash sale.

We are also having fajitas but without the margaritas. I will make some guacamole though.

Tikka masala with butternut squash, chickpeas and paneer. Made it yesterday.

Two mini pizzas with extra ham and cheese, leftover chicken curry and salad.

Salmon kebabs , garlic king prawns, sticky pork belly, steak , halloumi wrapped in bacon with chilli , Greek salad, rosemary and garlic roast potatoes.
