I've had a lifetime of ridicule because I hate cheese to the point people have told me they wouldn't trust someone who doesn't like cheese.

Me too!

Can't stand the stuff.

Whoopsmahoot · 06/07/2022 13:01

Avocado 🤮

Clevs · 06/07/2022 13:11

Peas 🤮

FuncaMunca · 06/07/2022 13:20

Offal is what grosses me out the most but it's easily avoided.

I also avoid having to de-shell lobsters, crab, prawns, langoustines etc. myself but will eat them if already shelled.

Not a big fan of fish served with the head & bones still on.

I'd never survive in the wild Grin

afaloren · 06/07/2022 13:24

Avocado. It’s the texture.

Gliblet · 06/07/2022 13:25

Celery. It's just wrong. If you're going to be stringy, have a pleasant flavour to balance it out - if you're going to taste like cheap sellotape, have a lovely texture. Don't be stringy AND taste like cheap sellotape.

Also meat fat, just for the texture. Bacon fat I can just about cope with if it's cooked crisp, but I never eat pork belly, always cut any fat off steaks, chops etc. Oh, and things like winkles, whelks etc because they have the same rubbery texture. Blech.

tobi21 · 06/07/2022 13:27

mushrooms, yuck

Helpel · 06/07/2022 13:30

Almost identical to @FuncaMunca - offal, unshelled shellfish, fish/meat on the bone.
I also don't like smoky flavours like BBQ sauce, frazzles crisps and smoky bacon.
Tinned frankfurters

ouch321 · 06/07/2022 13:31

Mushroom

LesLavandes · 06/07/2022 13:32

Lizziekisss · 06/07/2022 13:34

Liver - its the texture
peaches - its the flavour - I can spot a fruity drink with peach in it a mile off

elp30 · 06/07/2022 13:35

Chicken (everything about it is horrible to me)
Lamb (taste is too strong for me)
Coriander/Cilantro (the smell is divine, the taste is disgusting)
Cantaloupe (again, smells amazing, tastes terrible)

minipie · 06/07/2022 13:38

Most of my favourite foods listed here!!

The only thing I really dislike - but wish I didn’t - is olives. Surprised they’ve not been mentioned tbh.

Actually I don’t like marshmallows either.

KarrotKake · 06/07/2022 13:38

Mushrooms, coffee.

cloudjumper · 06/07/2022 13:40

Cooked celery - I'm fine with raw, but cooked celery is awful, it's so overpowering.

Fat on meat - never eat pork scratching, I cut meat off any steak etc. Can't stand the texture.

Porridge. I can't swallow it without gagging. I like oats in every other form, just not warm grey slime. Goats cheese, can't understand why anyone wants to eat something that tastes like the scrapings from the floor of a goat pen.

As a child we went on a school trip to a goat farm and then we were given goats cheese to try. I was still heaving and crying after the smells from the goat pen and couldn’t cope I refused to eat the cheese and got shouted at and made to stand outside !!! It absolutely stank and I was having some kind of meltdown the whole Goat farm and goat cheese experience was hell !

littlegreenheart · 06/07/2022 13:44

I don't eat meat, except for fish and seafood, but apart from that:

butternut, acorn, and most other types of "orange" squash (gag reflex)
melon (watermelon's OK)
Brazil nuts
tapioca
mackerel
