Sweet and sour Pork/Prawn balls are always lovely (prob because they are usuallly dripping with fat)

dw thinks you cant go wrong with chicken and cashew nuts with egg fried rice

Duck is always a winner in this household too

AuntyQuated · 20/11/2004 17:54

just orfdered before i saw this

prawn crackers
lemon chicken
char sui with cashewnuts
chicken with pineapple
2 fried rice
1 plain rice

to be shared with me DH DD and one poorly DS who is only likely to manage some plain rice

leander · 20/11/2004 17:55

Am I the only one that orders soup?

AuntyQuated · 20/11/2004 17:55

yes leander - it would slop around in the car as dh drove home

KateandtheGirls · 20/11/2004 18:00

I really miss English-Chinese food (as opposed to American-Chinese food).

80sMum · 20/11/2004 18:04

I know what you mean, Kate. We once had an awful experience with 'Chinese' food in Texas. Everything came 'chicken fried' and doused in that revolting white sauce they put on everything!

hunkermunker · 20/11/2004 18:10

We went to a Chinese in Wales once - in Cardigan. We had the worst meal we've ever eaten - everything was done in Bisto (honestly!) with loads of onions. There was no crispy aromatic duck on the menu - should've been a giveaway!

PuffTheMagicDragon · 20/11/2004 18:10

hot & sour soup
