All out of ideas. What are you having please?

I don’t know yet! I’m unwell and I’ve made no plans. I’m going to get up and have a look in the freezer in a little while.

Yesterday we had the Gurkha chicken curry from Jamie Oliver.com and it was really good.

Tonight we are having Lidl bratwurst in hotdog rolls, and potato salad and cucumber salad.

It's my favourite 'out of ideas' meal.

Last night we had pasta with tomato and marscapone sauce with peas stirred through it.

I am in a low-inspiration patch in meal planning. But this week I did write a meal plan of sorts and it included homemade pasties (can't be arsed); fajitas and tuna and sweetcorn pasta.

I've just popped red wine casserole in the slow cooker for dinner tonight. Made up of diced beef from the freezer that I defrosted overnight and left over bits lurking about my fridge.

I tried to get a Tesco delivery booked last night and the next available slot is early January 🤯 I have my Christmas slot booked for next week we will need to limp along till then.

Following this thread for ideas as apparently I am the only one in my house able to think of dinner ideas and make dinner 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️😭🤬

It’s supposed to be a beef pie but we had quite a rich bolognese last night so I’m not sure I fancy it. Might just make homemade pizzas to use up the leftover pepperoni that’s in the fridge

It's the end of the week, shopping-wise (click 'n collect tomorrow) - and I'm left staring at a small bacon joint and wondering what to do with it. I think it's going to end up boiled then baked with a mustard glaze, with potato cakes and fried eggs. Unless Google comes up with a better plan in the next hour or so, that is. We'll see.

I'm afraid it's frozen cod in breadcrumbs and oven chips here. I need to make space in the freezer. They'll be playing in the park til 4.30 after school anyhow so nobody's going to ask for complicated food.

I’ve decided on dinner (feeling marginally better now):

Pork loin steaks, boiled potatoes dressed in butter, garlic and parsley, roasted carrots and parsnips with thyme and lemon.

Haggis, mash and baked beans!

Pancakes! My kids’ request after a week of healthy meals!

Lasagne (shop bought) for the kids

I had to go into town this afternoon on some annoying errands and ended up with a massive roast pork and stuffing yorkshire pudding wrap at the Christmas market so I'm stuffed and everyone else can sort themselves out 😁

Vegetable cottage pie. I'm roasting some beetroot at the moment. The topping is in the freezer. The rest will cook more quickly.

Going out for a curry with 2 friends. First time since end of January this year. So looking forward to it but it will be the last time I will be socialising before Xmas
